Got myself involved in this coast to coast Seascale to Whitby 150 mile all in one go bike ride on Saturday, for the abovementioned good cause. Link below if you'd like to donate a couple of bob. .......... Ok, no it's not me, it's my nephew. My involvement is driving him to Seascale on Friday and picking him up from whitby saturday. . https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/James-PottsCFC
Brilliant mate. I will hoy a couple of quid in for it. Played in a charity match once for bairns with cancer. It was a bit of an old pros and coaches in derbyshire thing. We had mascots leading us out who were battling the bloody disease. Just about broke my heart talking to their parents.
Always gets me just how upbeat ( and brave) they always seem to be. Just like a certain Mr Lowery who remains in our hearts
Donated mate...a small amount but I hope it helps. I love cycling.......one of my favourite sports to watch, particularly the main Tours(sad I know). Doing 150 miles in one day is no easy feat. Chapeau to you all... the helpers and the riders
No worries , I have my charity budget too. It would be great if we could all give to everything , but unfortunately never going to be the case.
Donated. Good luck to everyone involved hope they aren't to sore the next day Did a pier to pier (roker to shields) for the bairns footy team and I was ****ed for about 3 days afterwards. On a serious note, I've been lucky enough to recover from that disease so every penny into research to help others is welcome.
Donated a fiver mate. Good to see how much he's raised so far and a great cause. I hope he's not too knackered afterwards!
Thankyou , he’ll be knackered , but the masochist loves going up mountains - done tour devFrance mountain bits , doing the Italian version in august
James asks me to pass on his appreciation to all who supported him. Think he was quite astonished that strangers who don’t know him and only tenuously know the link ( me) to him can be so thoughtful - but , that’s just the measure and calibre of the participants of our little world here. Cheers fellas
