People have been buying houses for more than 30 years <laugh>

My first mortgage was at 13.5% and my sisters was at 16%

Me and my big sis have been saying for about 4 years that a major crash is coming and all the idiots paying stupid money for property that will only fall through the floor will be hit hard.

It's proving to be true and what makes it worse is the idiots that loaned them the money will be forclosing on property that is worth nothing like the money they loaned out for it so in effect they will be in negative equaty on re-claimed houses.

Kustard must have had a mortgage for over 30 years then.

I thought people would work it out tbh.

    Forgot about you, sorry.

Did you find it difficult to understand the "at one time" bit?
I know he ****ed up with the have (maybe meant had or even have had) but it was pretty simple for most to understand.

Paying 5% on a £500k house isn’t the same as when you paid 15% on your 37p house while the Germans were still bombing, obviously.

Yes I paid 12% too. But my first house was a 3 bed detached for nine grand! At that time I was working for a Yankee oil company in Gt.Yarmouth on a monthly salary of £400. So in under two years I would hav paid for it. Today that house would be around £350k so you would need to be on £175k a year to pay it off in the same time.

Just goes to show that being rich isn't the same as being clever. Wouldn't have gone on that thing for £195k, let alone paid it.

IMHO Rishi's " Free Money" scheme was fecking brilliant. Maybe not as an economic policy, but speaking personally I loved it!

I know you like to be controversial but people aren’t taking out big mortgages for the fun of it. Lots of factors have contributed to house prices such as they are, but I’m pretty sure home owners wanting to pay excessive mortgages isn’t one of them <doh>

If labour in 2004 did not allow every man and his inside out dog into the country demand would be lower

4 people per thousand in the population. It’s a miracle there are any houses at all.

If you invite millions of people into a small island & don't concrete over all the green spaces then you will never build more homes than extra people.

Lefties fail to grasp the concept of greater demand on our NATIONAL health service & school places too.

There are billions of poor people in the World let them all In & house them , but it's weird that house prices are so high & I can't get a doctors appointment.

Bloody tories we need more doctors & architects.

    Dumb ****s

If you don’t invite people in you have an ever-increasing dependency ratio putting more strain on the dwindling share of people paying taxes and greater strain on public services. You also risk a brain drain as we’re seeing with doctors when the country pays **** money for highly skilled public sector work which puts further strain on public services.

It’s a much more complex situation than a racist gammon midget who leeches off his family will ever understand.

We are importing about a million extra people this year alone , most of them will reproduce so we need to import another million to build them houses .

Yeah I don't understand basic supply & demand principles.

Boo hoo houses are expensive lol

If they can bring so much to this Country, it does make you wonder how they haven't done in their own Country, or how that place will manage without them.

Surely it's arrogant and dangerous to steal the best from an impoverished region?

There are too many cars in London it's literally causing the climate change.

Sadiq wants another million cars in London to make the sun less hoterer & pay his climate tax.

    Genius
