I don't think he leaves, I mean I have interest in Kat Dennings but that's massively unlikely. In the case of them buying him though it would cost in around 40Million I would think.
He'll have to compete with Lamptey. Tino has time on his side; if he smashes it for a season in the Champ, he'll get better offers than Brighton.
I would be willing to see as there is no guarantee he will recover to his full potential after such a serious injury.
Fair comment. Just seems an odd one. For that sort of money I can think of plenty of better midfielders
Tonali's a good player. I'm not sure who else they could have got for that money who would actually want to go there right now.
I get from a personal level the appeal for JWP to stay in the premier league and for a club he can play regularly for. He has personal milestones for his free kicks and PL appearances(where he is already in the top 100 at 28). However, I think his game might be better suited if he moved abroad. I can see him doing pretty well in Spain or Italy. I guess the obvious stumbling block would be money, but I think he’d gain a lot more personally from a move abroad.
We'd do well to get half what we paid. Mainly because it is clear we want to sell, but we also over paid at the time.
Bolton fans seem pleased enough with the move. Hopefully we got a bit of money from it and nice to see an academy player get a pro contract elsewhere
It is good to see an academy player come good although I think that these players are all being picked up by Dic 1 and 2 teams is indicative of the quality our academy is producing. SR need to get a grips with this as JWP is thhe last real success story.
How many PL teams have academy players in their team? Not too many spring to mind outside the bigger teams I think N’Lundulu joined from Chelsea when he was 17/18 so depending on your definition of academy product he may not count anyway. I don’t think we would get a compensation fee for him as he was out of contract and 23
