Romano says CB isn’t just the priority now but pushing hard for Maddison. A shame it was The Mail as the source and not something better but last night they claimed Tapsoba is eager to join.
And ironically not being in UEFA land has created a GK issue. Some of you may recall in 2012-13 that Lloris was gradually eased into the PL starting XI by first being in the starting XI for the EL group stage games. No such luxury this season if Lloris does not go in the summer.
Is the Citeh FFP "compliance" playbook a trade secret, or does Sharia mandate that they must share it ?? < Toon-ummah(y) >
It’s still the same as what he initially said, he’s saying CB isn’t just the priority but Maddison too. Good news for us if we get them both sorted before pre-season, Ange needs as long as possible to implement the rebuild.
I don’t mind the new format but would like them to focus on more than one area of the squad (case in point - the Spurs one today). But the older Sensible Transfer content was better IMO.
The one for us is a shambles: forgot that Lo Celso is part of our squad, completely omitted any suggestions for GK or CB, and seemed too keen to just settle on Celtic players At least the old format, hipster as it was as they only ever suggested Bundesliga randos, seemed more in tune with the brief
Victor Wembanyama has targeted winning a championship after Spurs chose him as the number one pick in 2023 . ( A few edits maybe ) Original story: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/basketball/65995961
What made it particularly dumb was they did include Ndombele - and suggested he'd be an ideal No8 in Ange's system Sort of like an iron lung would be an ideal submarine to explore the Titanic
Romano’s said on a podcast/ app that Maddison is very open to joining us and we’re really pushing for the move. We’ve also been extensively watching Tapsoba and believe he’s perfect for the Prem (I’d completely agree), £40m-£50m fee to get him. There’s also two other CBs on our list and one will be clarified tomorrow.
And that is Micky van de Ven of Wolfsburg. With him and Tapsoba as some of our targets, I get the feeling Ange wants a CB with genuine pace. Which then further implies we’re definitely leaning towards having a (very?) high line, akin to what he done at Celtic where at times CBs were almost on the halfway line during periods of possession.
6'4" Dutch centre-half that came through Volendam's academy. A left-footer that's being linked with a lot of English clubs, including the Scouse.
Not sure if actually in for him. Think we are potentially looking for a left footed cb but think been easy links because our new interim DOF was at Wolfsburg so easy link.
