Apparently we've recently been in contact with Juventus regarding a move for Chiesa. Theo Hernandez has also been mentioned, but less likely... Think the Italian press are getting all excited with us, now that we look like signing Tonali.
It's us and Man City now. The rest of the little teams can **** off. Liverpool and Man Utd can try for 4th place. ****ing love this ****.
Private jet leaving ncl at 10 going to Romania, presumably it is the medical staff going over to the Italy u21 base to complete the medical, must mean that the deal has been done
Woah, steady on there. One step at a time. We are a long, long way off those kind of claims - if ever. One good season and a couple of good signings is not going to (consistently) put us above the likes Liverpool, Man United, Arsenal & Chelsea - all of whom will no doubt add strength to their own squads. Especially if the likes of Man United get bought out. We 'might' get there one day, but it certainly won't be that soon.
Hopefully it will be officially confirmed today so we can have the return of the Friday announcements. At least they will be more positive now and a nice way to start the weekend.
Maybe he just realises Serie A is ****e right now, and has been nothing for the past 20 years and wants to play in the big league?
What planet do they ****ing live on? lol. As loyalty is something that used to exist? Since when have football players been loyal if there's a much better contract available for them at a far more promising club?
There certainly was that level of loyalty, it's just becoming more and more rare to see. Which I think is the point of the article.
Yes, it does nicely ignore the fact that Del Piero and Totti were on astronomical wages that they wouldn't get anywhere else cos all the money was in Italy at the time. If you wanna talk about loyalty, talk about Le Tissier at Southampton.
I'm not saying it doesn't exist at all but the reality of the matter is if your home club is in a shambles and another club is offering you a more promising career and better wages, 99% of players are going to take that. The only players that stay at their home club are the ones that aren't really that attractive to clubs much better than them anyway. If you look at any player that stayed at his boyhood club for a long time it's often largely because the club was doing well to a certain degree and the contract they were on was good enough.
The football World is in tears over a club buying their players when they themselves buy other clubs players all the time. Let's just enjoy it .... in a few years they'll accept fate.
Yeah, it's like Game of Thrones. Everyone is prepared to do what's necessary to be top dog and is happy to justify it. Then cries foul when others usurp them. Basically we've just ridden in on massive **** off dragons that nobody was expecting and announced our arrival. They will cry and we'll burn some. We won't be the first, probably won't be the last. It might not last forever, but we'll have our day. Dracarys!
Szobalzai--------------Isak-------------------Almiron -------Joelinton--------Bruno---------Tonali------------ Tierney--------Botman------Schar----------Trippier ----------------------------Pope-----------------------
Why are so many of our fans talking about Tonali allowing Bruno to roam forward? Tonali often plays LCM or RCM and he's a pacey player, I'd imagine Bruno would play in the center of that midfield.
If Maddison does come, our midfield depth would be Tonali, Madders, Bruno, Joelinton, Willock, Longstaff = Jizz everywhere.
