    Pope

    Trippier Andersen Botman Tierney

    Tonali Bruno Joelinton

    Szobozlai Isak Willock

Subs: Schar, Burn, Longstaff, Miley, Almiron, Gordon, Wilson.

    That’ll do.

Swap out Tierney for someone less injury prone. Also, that lot would be £180million or so, on press quoted prices.

The way some of you lot change player positions at a whim, I'm amazed nobody has come up with Pope and Dubravka on the wings yet

Tbf, as a club with have history with that sort of thing.

We had Gordon everywhere on the pitch bar GK and CB before finally moving him back to the position he played in when we signed him

As for the plane spotters amongst you, if there is any truth in the Tomali rumours, I'd be looking for one going from Nice to Milan as I guarantee Maxi is used as a makeweight in that deal.

It's not really our fault when Eddie Howe uses Jacob Murphy as a right winger, instead of as a paperweight in his office.

    Willock LW?

Would prefer Szobozlai LW and Almiron/Gordon RW.

Joelinton and Willock as an axis is far stronger than some of you give credit for. We finished fourth with it for ****s sake!!

We did. Joelinton and Willock are class players, but I think we can do better than Willock at LW.

We did well but at times seemed to really struggle against defensive sides.

I'd not hate Willock being played at LW I just think we can afford and should try to do better.

But we can’t afford and that’s a very strong area for us. We need central midfielders first and foremost

Rofl how are our wings stronger than our central midfield?

CM's - Bruno, Joelinton, Willock, Longstaff vs Wingers - Almiron, Gordon, Murphy, ASM?

Our central midfield is one of our strongest areas, none of our wingers are CL quality. You could argue Bruno and Joelinton are.

We have more depth at winger position but less quality. We need a good winger, at times we really did lack creativity and struggled when teams parked the bus.

Teams like Leeds, West Ham, Palace, Bournemouth, Leicester etc shouldn't be avoiding defeat at St James'.

Our best winger is Almiron, and we cannot hope he has another purple patch.

I think we need a winger and CM - Maddison and Szobolzai would be my picks as they are versatile and play centrally and wide.

Is Tonali any better than Hayden though?

I'd prefer one of Szoboszlai or Maddison to be signed alongside one of Tonali or Barella. Then a free transfer (Thuram) or promising player (Guler) for extra competition on the wings... Thuram would possibly be more useful as he could also provide decent cover/competition for Wilson and Isak.
