In 2002 Poland agreed to have bases built to site an Anti Ballistic Missile system which the Yanks insisted was required due to the threat from Iran . The system was later cancelled (in 2009) but that whole programme certainly worried the Russians.

I have two theory's for the filming. 1, Body cams I'm guessing are pretty standard issue for troops these days. Maybe not all grunts but special forces like those lot are allegedly. Lots of practical reason's for keeping vids of your troops in real time or to go over later and pick out mistakes and improve future tactics and such. 2, social media fame and funding. Just let me finish... 1st vids i saw online of Ukrainian and Russian troops were go pros attached to drones that had been modified by Ukrainians to drop hand grenades on Russians. Point 1, I'd already told you the only purpose I could see was for taking commands. Point 2, I agree with what you say, such is the mentality of human beings. Although I will say I was watching loads of Russian stuff until it all got took down by our government. I'm not saying NATO hasn't done things which could be perceived as.threatening, or that Russia doesn't have a right to feel pissed off by missiles being placed in Poland, etc... But what Russia did in Georgia and Moldova in recent decades show they still have designs on an empire and expanded reach of territory. I'm obviously not Putin (at least I hope it's obvious) but whereas I'm sure not allowing Ukraine to be westernized was a significant factor in invading the country, I think his past actions show that expanding.his "empire" is also a major driver for him and likely the biggest driver of his invasion.
My point was you said Russia were kiling parents and kidnapping children, yet NATO didn't kidnap children, they killed them. I'm not measuring whether it's Ukranians, Russians, Serbs or any other nationality, I'm highlighting we are all guilty if killing women and children, the picture you put up in response was of dead men, soldiers. Making an excuse for NATO killing women and children, much like Israel killing palestinian women and children is evil just the same, all over a piece of land - so it's not just the Russians that do it. Which was my entire point. That people are fast as **** to jump on NATOs dick for things, but I find the tacit justification for a full scale invasion, along the lines of "well, you know, the West was dealing with nations near Russia so ofc they felt threatened" as completely laughable. Like, we shouldn't be bombing people, we should never have bombed Iraq and invaded. If people say here "well OK it's wrong but there was provocation from the West." Where does it end? Ok, Israel are bad, but they do face provocation. Ok, Iraq was bad, but Saddam was provocative.
