Apparently the owners are desperately trying to locate a vessel capable of rescuing the submarine from the bottom of the Atlantic ... ... you'd have hoped they'd have checked that possibly before they started taking the public down there.
I assume it would be the deepest ever rescue? It would be amazing if they could do it, but I honestly cant see how it could be done.

Absolutely. I think the company running the tours needs to be held to account. There had never been any accidents prior so presumably they told the punters it was safe. I read up a bit and apparently the vessel has "lost contact" for a little while every single time they've done this trip! Previous times they found it again but this lot might not be so lucky, it seems... Can't believe they continued to operate knowing (presumably) how close to disaster they'd been before, without working out how to prevent it from happening again.
Do they necessarily need rescuing? I'm confused how the whole thing works to be honest but it sounds like they've just lost contact with their "guidance" vessel (which tells them where to go). The sub could theoretically still be in perfect working order, just nobody knows where the ****ed is? And, if so, once found they would just be extracted by whatever means they usually use? But they only have 4 days worth of air apparently and the ocean is a big place... Must be absolutely terrifying.
I'd assume they didn't return at the expected time hence the assumption they need rescuing. It sounds as if there is very little chance of them being located among the debris
Apparently a modern under sea pipe laying boat now there to help. Early suggestion is there is hope they might be able to affect some kind of rescue attempt if they are on the bottom.
Honestly no idea. It must be around 40 hours since last contact? They have been searching the sea surface and covered 10000 sq miles apparently. If it was a case of being stuck down there for so lond now, and no comms, you would think they would have surfaced and as I have read it they can drop weights or add air to do that. I am speculating, which I shoudnt do I know.
Good post marra, but it was mentioned on the dreadful nicky Campbell show this morning that lot's of companies have stopped customer submarine dives as they are too dangerous. A harsh lesson being learnt here I fear.
Shouldn't worry mate, if it's only going to 100ft it's well within divers range and any half decent salvage crew could pull it back up from there. Unless 100ft isn't the bottom and it could sink to great depth, or if it developed a severe leak
Cheers 'mate'. I am pretty sure when it comes to it only me and my lads will get on board. My good lady will sit at the harbour with her ticket and a glass of something with bubbles! She is a worrier bless her.
I'm no maritime expert but I have a strong suspicion that you could see a lot more of the interior and exterior, of the Titanic, before it sank.
