He had his extension triggered as well I’m pretty sure. So did Jarvis, don’t think Jarvis will sign a new deal though unless he gets the chance I believe he’s earned.
Unless it’s not been updated, Wood & Jarvis are both in the U21 squad. https://www.wearehullcity.co.uk/teams/u21-team/
Wood has stayed on I think, he signed a deal after the League One season under McCann, think he was given another year. I don’t know why.
The baffling one is why Callum Jones got a 2 year deal despite not being better than Wood or Olly Green
Don't see how you can say Jones isn't better; we've barely seen any of them play but clearly the club rate Jones more highly than the other two and he's played more senior football at a higher level. Yes it's surprising that we're sticking with him beyond 21, but to say he's no better than Wood or Green seems daft.
Maybe the players attitudes come into the decision making process? Player #1 may be a cracking footballer but unfortunately, a massive arsehole* where as Player #2 may not be as good but works hard and causes no issues in the camp? * I have no idea if this is the case or if said player is or isn't a massive arsehole before anyone gets chirpy.
Jones would've broken through in our L1 season had he not got injured when we were in that sticky patch, he put in some great performances in the Papa Johns and had real momentum. He's had a few years of stagnation but always felt there was a player in there.
This is where last summer is really costing us, there are 2 players there who would improve us and we could sign both for less than what we paid for Tufan, I'd imagine the wages for the pair would work out similar to what Tufans on too I like Tufan and everything, he's very good but he wasn't fit till March
Thats shocking, I get why players at the end of their careers, like Benzema, go there for a massive boost to their pension pot, but - for a world class midfielder at his physical peak, one wanted by one of the world's great teams (Barcelona) to go there is verging on madness, he's set for life but sacrificing the best years of a short career.
£1 million for Bielik. Injury issues aside, that's an absolute bargain. Knight would be Bristol City's fourth signing of the summer as well. A club that actually is getting their business done early and not just saying it.
On the flip side, we've signed two of the best young CBs in the league onto long-term deals and the club captain. It's not flashy but it's been a very solid start
Did the same last year when Traore was there etc. Probably just an interview day with a few media outlets.
We've not heard from Tan in a while, so hopefully we'll get some in-depth interviews especially after the Shelbourne acquisition
This is so bizarre. 21-year-old talented player who has been linked with teams in the PL, Serie A and Ligue 1 decides to go to Qatar. He'll earn a lot of money but it's just career suicide.
