FRIDAY Stes selections 1405 Sandown- What's In The Bag 9/4 - 1 point win This looks a very good opportunity for WHAT'S IN THE BAG to gain his second career win from just 5 starts after a decent effort lto when runner up to glamour breeze over 5f at Windsor last month, had LIL GUFF behind him that day who's he's 4lb better off with for this and that run was back from 331 days off so you'd expect there to be more to come, Neil Callan rides who was onboard for his easy win over this distance around this time last year at Windsor and I think he's the one to beat for the yards only runner on the card. 1550 Sandown- Zaras Return 8/1 EW - 1 point. Ew Do have the odds on PENZANCE to beat here but I think it's worth taken a chance on ZARAS RETURN at an eachway price, she didn't show much on her six starts last year although she did finish runner up twice back to back to next time out winners early last summer and she was a surprise winner on her third start of the year when getting off the mark to win comfortably at Newmarket over 1m last month, showed she's not the easiest of rides lto and was left with to much to do but I think she's definitely got ability looking at that newmarket win, Benoite Sayette I think could be a good booking for this and I reckon he'll have her do her best work late on. 2025 Fontwell- Montys Award 7/2 - 1 point win Just the five runners in this and its the only CD winner in the field MONTYS AWARD i fancy to go well who's down another 3lb after his third place finish last month over this course and distance and is also on the same mark as when winning comfortably here over this distance last year, Houlihan jumps back on board with his 3lb claim looking for his third win in the saddle and if building on that last run then he should go close.
VIP Stes selections - I won’t be doing many today guys. Very hungover today - I will post mine before 12.30. GOOD MORNING guys not a bad day yesterday with zaras return getting up to win at 8/1, what's in the bag was beaten by a nose but looks one to keep on side and montys reward was well backed but only managed fourth, plenty of decent racing today and I've got 11 running from me tracker so I hope I've picked the right ones here, don't normally like tipping these short odds but struggling to find much with value so keep the stakes low and let's boom or bust 1840 Downpatrick- ARDHILL 11/10 - 1 point win Only short odds but I've tipped ARDHILL about 7 times now and he always ends up a non runner, it's now been 546 days since his last run which is when I put him in me tracker after his easy 7 and a half length win back from 110 days off over 2m 7f at ascot in December 2021 in a class 4, won in a canter there and the runner up in that race won nto upped in class, the one in fourth won his next 2 upped in class, the one in 6th has won 3 times since, the one in 16th has won 4 of there next 6 starts and 4 horses behind that one have 6 wins between them since so the form of that race stacks up really well and I'm pretty sure some of the races he ended up a non runner for were in higher classes than this, that was over hurdles and he is 0-2 over fences but I think he could of improved a lot since and the yard can have them ready first time after a break, 7lb claimer Gilligan rides with the blinkers retained and ill be dissapointed if this don't run well considering I've been waiting 546 days to watch him. 1335 Chester- MASTER FRANKA 7/2 - 1 point win Not a lot to go on in this race and the Haggas horse JE NE SAIS QUOI appears to be the one to beat looking for back to back wins with further improvement to come but I think MASTER FRANKA is better value here, only fourth on debut over this distance at York last month but I think the form of that race will look a lot stronger soon with the 3 ahead all looking decent types, well bred and should have more to come for the local yard with James doyle takes over from Murphy. 1450 Sandown- great state 6/4 - 1 point win GREAT STATE looks capable of defying a penalty and grabbing the four timer in what looks another winnable contest, only had 6 career starts winning 4 of them with the latest coming in listed company at York last month, was a comfortable 2 and a half length winner there and he doesn't look like he's finished improving, Murphy retains the ride and looks the one to beat. Roger varain won this race last year and probably has the nb in TAJALLA and bougheys PERDIKA I think will be the one chasing third. 1505 York- ISRAR 6/4 - 1 point win This looks between QUICKTHORNE & ISRAR with the latter just edging it despite the former dropping back into listed company having been running group races in his last 8, ISRAR I just think has a lot more to come after 9 starts and despite not winning in this company yet he was a good runner up to haskoy lto back from a break with the likes of bolshoi ballet and yibir behind, step up in trip could bring out more improvement and I think he can go one better this time. 1500 bath- DAPPERLING 5/2 - 1 point win do have the odds on UNBREAK MY HEART to beat but at 4/6 I think it's worth taken her on, DAPPERLING ran her best race to date lto here over a similar distance when runner up for the second time on the bounce after just 3 starts, no form to go on from that race but she drops in class here and I think a repeat of that race 8 days ago should she her go close, the unraced and outsider of the bunch ANYONE HOME cost €100,000 and is related to multiple winners including grpup winners, she's blinkered for debut and could be one to keep an eye on too. GONE in the 1610 at this course also looks soild going for the hatrick up just 2lb for johnstons yard. 1940 Uttoxeter- MR MAFIA 14/1 EW - 1 point ew
Be lucky SUNDAY * Ste: Well I said it will be boom or bust going for the favs and well it ended in bust with three seconds and two thirds, gonna stay away from favourites now I think and just look for value so hopefully a better day today. Only the two cards in the UK so just got the one tipped, some class racing out in France so I've done a write up for the big race there and I've got a couple tipped for over in Ireland, goodluck if you follow and enjoy your weekend FRANCE PRIX DE DIANNE LONGINES (fillies group 1) 1505 CHANTILLY- LINDY 25/1 EW This looks an absolute class race and plenty of these have met eachother in there last few races leaving it a bit of minefield, BLUE ROSE CEN won four of her first 6 career starts last year and is undefeated in two starts this year with both wins coming in group races at Longchamp, already a two time group one winner and she had a few of these behind lto including NEVER ENDING STORY who will need to find more to win this but will no doubt go close for AP O'brian and Ryan Moore, the trip is a unknown for blue rose though so at 10/3 I think it's a little short. RUNNING LION is another who holds decent claims for the Gosden yard who won this race last year, she finished 4th on debut over at Newmarket but has gone on to win her four starts since, non runner lto in the Royal Oak when playing up in the stalls leaving Oisin Murphy in a nark so he'll no doubt be wanting to have a good race but this is a big step up competing in group company for the first time so at 11/4 I don't see the value, JANNAH ROSE & PENSEE DU JOUR are both undefeated in three starts and are both group winners with more to come so impossible to rule out and with the speed of ELUSIVE PRINCESS & NOVAKAI who has finished runner up in her last 3 starts all coming in group races having had just 5 career starts are both ones to watch here but for me it's LINDY at 25/1 eachway, she won her first two career starts last year including a listed race on just her second start at 11/10 in November and returned this year with a decent runner up to BLUE ROSE CEN in a group 3 over 7f before again finishing second to blue rose over the same CD with NEVER ENDING STORY back in 5th. Looking at that makes me think LINDY is well over priced here at 25/1 and I think this step up in trip will unlock more potential. IRELAND 1540 GOWRAN PARK- SUNSET NOVA 8/1 EW SUNSET NOVA hasn't managed to get his head infront in his last 15 starts with his last win coming back in August over 7f at Leapardstown, only placed a couple times since that win but he ran well lto to finish runner up in a decent handicap over this distance at Listowel 13 days ago and she's now well below her last winning mark, first visit to this track but she's an experienced sort and a repeat of her last run should see her go close. 1605 DOWNPATRICK- ZETTABYTE 9/2 ZETTABYTE was twice runner up in Irish PTPs before finishing mid division on his first two starts under rules this year, showed improvement on his most recent run when coming from the back to get third of 15 at 16/1 over 2m 6f at Ballinrobe with the winner of that race going in nto, this drop in trip looks a plus the cheekpeices are now reached for which might help with his Jumping and the talented gilligan who's in decent form jumps onboard with his 7lb claim, should have more to come and worth chancing.
