Great days play today and tomorrow could be a real thriller if the weather plays nice. Thank the lord for working from home
Lovely, be even better if the rain stops earlier and we get a bowl at them under really overcast skies
There’s a lot of “we needed more runs” on Twitter etc. but, in reality, we probably didn’t. Had we taken the 3 or 4 straightforward chances, we’d likely be bowling with a them still needing 220+
Win or lose, Stokes and McCullum have changed and possibly even saved Test cricket. It wasn't that long ago that England refused to even try and chase down a modest target on Day 5. Stokes would rather lose than draw and that is absolutely the right attitude. Can anyone watching England in last 12 months say they haven't been entertained?
Looking like rain till 12 then overcast but dry till about 6. Fingers crossed we can get stuck into them and get the ball swinging around
It's set up perfectly. Best 2 batsmen out, next best batsmen at the crease/next in. Overcast conditions. Whoever wins will be 100% earned it
Well I've been watching for about sixty years, and have even mostly enjoyed the stuff most would find off putting. But Test cricket was in hospital with a poor prognosis. Then this team, captain and coach turn up. It's saved the game, I am absolutely sure about that. Win or lose this match or series, the sight of Pat Cummins, the best fast bowler in the world, and with England at about 50 for 2, bowling WITHOUT a slip, tells the whole story. It's great to watch. And I think us cricket lovers have almost got to learn it's new rhythms as they show up. Probably even the captain and team are learning. 50/50 Today. Any more missed chances would be fatal I imagine.
