He does look like a cross between Frank Burns from M*A*S*H and Alfred E Newman (MAD).

I reckon Stokes is pissed that he declared too early in the first innings. So he's being overcautious this time. He'll declare at the fall of the next wicket or at tea. Gives England a day and a session to take the match.

 

If England do go on to win, declaring when he did would be a mark of genius

going for 300 and tiring the Aussies at the same time while Robinson gets a rest.

 

I would think a declaration at tea is very likely.
