Their knock out record in Europe, with no Scotch refs conspiring against them, is formidable and another red flag of how badly they are treated by Scotch officialdom.

I think it's an intriguing appointment for Savile Select.

BR obviously is a good coach, but from watching his CFC and LCFC teams, he does seem to be a bit dogmatic with regard to tactical approaches to games.

He initially went to Scumtic and was greeted by the Breadman, who was equally as dogmatic, tactically, but the Bheast squad was massively better than Rangers at the time and the *****s finished the domestic campaign unbeaten, albeit were embarrassed in Europe several times that season with Red Imps winning and a 7-0 pumping by Barcelona.

Season 2, he was up against Caixihna at Sevco who was even more inept than the previous incumbent, then we had Murts, then finished the campaign with Jimmy Nicholl so another treble.

Europe again, pumped a few times but got 3rd place and dropped into the EL, where you got beat again.

Season 3 - Slippy took over at Sevvy, but again had a summer rebuild and CFC had better players. Europe - failed to qualify for the CL play off round so dropped into the Jug, mixed bag but finished second, then got beat in the knock outs, then he went to LCFC.

His record down there is decent, won the FA cup for them, but his team choked twice for CL football and regressed to the point where they got relegated... again you could argue he lost a lot of players and never got the resources to replace them.

This season... Celtic quite quiet so far as far as transfers in/out goes and we've got a manager in his second season of being a manager.... and have a full squad to buy, by the looks of it.

Beale done well last season but his team failed when it mattered...

 

Rodgers transfer in record at Leicester is pretty **** from what I see.

Plus he sanctioned the sale of Calvin Bassey to Rangers which led to a record fee received for the Ibrox Club and stopped us dying again.
