Unfortunately the weather looks set to prevent a result in this test.

As predicted the rain has done for us. Tuesday is a wash out, which leaves just tomorrow.

O.K. I declare this match over.
Only winners were Root and Khawaja. Otherwise mind numbingly boring.
At least with football, a draw only takes one day, less than 2 hours max. And rain has little affect on the continuation of the game. Sure, still 2 days left, but rain still lurking around this week.
In saying that, see you guys for second test, at :emoticon-0157-sun: Lord's. :emoticon-0140-rofl:

.Duckett brilliantly caught by Green. 27-1. These conditions undr the lights are horrendous for batting. Can only end badly for us playing in these conditions

Here we go. Crawley nicks off behind to Boland. These conditions are grim. Aussies could win the game right here under the lights.

I go offline for one hour and game gets interesting.
Still reckon if match rained out with 2 days to go, then boooring. Sorry, but I need closure in the form of a result or at least a completion.
Sure there were good parts, the aforementioned tons by Root and Khawaja and several nice shots and wickets, but in between, bit hard to watch. Even some of the crowd were asleep on the second day. That's why powers that be introduced T20s and before that, one dayers.
It gets good when a result is imminent, even though a draw eventuates, but as I said before, when the game gets terminated days early then, yaaawn ...pardon me.
Having said that, it has become interesting again with early wickets. And I hope the rain stays away and it's a nail biter on the fifth day, whoever wins.

As long as it's the Aussies :emoticon-0116-evilg (I know, but I couldn't resist).

On a ferry back from Bilbao, left at 10am this morning so was looking forward to watching only for the satellite signal to be lost coming out of the port...... yep you guessed it, it kicked in for that 20 minute session when batting was horrendous...... fortunate to only be 2 down......

One thing, am I the only one who thinks that the catch by Green, superb as it was, wasn't a clean catch, it looked as if he grounded the ball, would have been harsh but no harsher than over stepping by a millimetre.....

No catch by Green must be doubted.
