Biden is the president, Trump had them when he was no longer president, his argument was as president he could declassify them, so presumably on those grounds Biden can also declassify them, that doesn’t work though once you’ve left office.

I really don’t get how people try to defend Boris, or Trump for that matter, nor try to blame others or bring others into the equation. Whether Blair, or Biden did or did not do anything is irrelevant. Why can’t they just concentrate on what they did. It’s called distraction.

I have no strong feelings one way or the other for Boris other than to say he’s his own worst enemy and is a stranger, like virtually all politicians, to the truth,

But with a personal life consisting of many children by different partners, and a career made up of lies and sackings in previous roles he was just destined for politics

I would argue that under Trump the southern American border was fairly secure, the economy was booming, there were no wars aside from the seemingly never ending issues in Syria and Iraq and the UK would probably have benefitted from a huge trade deal with the US.
I despise Biden for his liberal and lefty beliefs, his stance on Northern Ireland, how much he clearly dislikes us, and the Democrats in general for falling over themselves to appease the crooks and vigilantes of BLM and AHTIFA.
Two weekends ago there were 54 shootings in Chicago alone,
After defunding the Police, the Democrat's once again have the Wild West on their doorstep

As I’ve said before, I accept that Trump is a hugely flawed human being in many ways, but if I were American, and I have lots of friends there hence me closely following what happens over the pond, I would, and could only vote Republican
But what he’s facing is literally a witch hunt and if he said he wasn’t running for President in 2024 tomorrow, it would all stop.

I was comparing the reaction of what Blair did in Iraq and Boris with his office parties.
Which you avoided when replying to my comment.

It's called having a precedent... If you cannot compare and contrast behaviors, how do you classify good and bad? Not being fair in comparing wrongful activities leads to calls of a witch-hunt.

I didn’t avoid it, i said Boris was found to have lied, Blair wasn’t . If you read my replies you’ll see I answered your point.

You may believe Blair lied, but that’s all it is , your belief, Boris on the other hand, has been found guilty of knowingly lying, on several occasions, to parliament

Boris did what he did, an inquiry took place, he was found to have lied,, on several occasions to the house. He should be judged on the facts.

Had Blair been found guilty of lying to the house it would be a fair comparison , he hasn’t.

Boris didn’t mention Blair, he just blamed pretty much everyone else, he was attempting to employ distraction tactics, bluff and bluster, gaslighting, etc. it’s what he does.

As I remember Blair got off on a point of law.
There wasn't a 'crime of aggression' in English law at that time. There is now but the high court ruled it couldn't be retro acted on.
An illegal war - he gets off on a technicality.
Office parties and it's bang to rights.

As I’ve said, I’m not a Boris fan but like in America it’s the left and all of the toxic ideologies that go with them that are controlling everything here as well from justice, education, policing, civil service, Home office, NHS, local councils etc etc
God help us all when they take us back into Europe
    And they will try
Footnote - and how big does the body count of innocent British people and kids have to get before someone calls out Blair on his hideous multiculturalism policy
    Lee Rigsby
    Ariande Grande concert
    Liverpool Maternity Hospital attempted bombing
    Nottingham atrocity

the police never challenged the grooming gangs in case they were called racist
Security didn’t stop the Manchester bombing for the same reason despite the fact he stuck out like a sore thumb !
The guy in Nottingham has a violent history
But don’t worry, we’re being looked after

Don’t know why you’re all talking about poor hard done Boris. He’s landed a million pound deal for a few days a week work.

i8t will be a long drawn out affair he does something it screws up so waits a few weeks then decides in hindsight it was the wrong idea blames the oppostion for agreeing to it by not voting against it although he has the majority then attempts to change it ... in the mean he has had to borrow £40bn extra toput it right along with the £50bn it cost in the first place.. interest rates go up so after 4 years we are back to Austerity with a debt of of £1trn ......................!!!

There are worse people, and certainly people that have done far less that have been knighted. Again if he was found guilty of anything untoward he wouldn’t have received it.
