Before we signed him we had been tracking him for a number of years so we must have his qualities or not
His lack of pace meant that he couldn't outrun a defender and he never possessed any tricks too so although he was good at pressing and could win the ball occasionally he was never spontanious enough to do anything constructive with it and always looked for an easy pass.
Yeah not disagreeing with you, but why didn’t we recognise that before we signed him. Like I said we had been tracking him for a couple of years before we signed him
£25m seems ... cheap (in this modern day footballing world at least), considering how impressive he was.
Yeah, we only signed him five months ago. So if anyone wants to buy him this early into his contract, they can pay us £40m please. Or go away.
It's The Sun. So, yes, it's incorrect. If the price for Bella-Kotchap has been set at 30m, then I think it's safe to say we will be asking more than 25m for Alcaraz.
Can’t see Arsenal spending what Hammers want for Rice and what we want for Lavia. Is Lavia their plan B if Rice doesn’t happen
No. Just no. Only just signed, can’t have a player of his quality leaving after 4 months. Lavia, JWP, KWP, ABK can all leave. Alcaraz, you stay.
We’d still have about 20 players such is the size of our squad. But yeah think anyone we actually would want to keep will be gone.
I can. They’re quite openly in for two CMs this summer and were negotiating for Caicedo at a £50m price point. It’s only since Chelsea jumped in at £70m that they’ve backed away. Xhaka is leaving, Partey’s situation is up in the air and Elneny/Jorginho are contenders to leave too, according to reports. I also think Lavia to Arsenal is probably the best outcome too, both for his career and for him not going to a club we have major grudges against.
