Luongo not confirmed yet. He has been offered a deal - really hope he accepts it. KVY - hope he finds a home somewhere where he can play regular football and maybe rediscover the form he had when he 1st arrived with us
Just spied a news story that has linked McKenna with the Celtic Job. Do you think we have any cause for worry?
Unfortunately I think we're going to have to get used to increasing speculation about KMc's future, particularly if we get a good start next Season. At least it shows he's doing well and is highly regarded.
It ain't happening for a few years imo, KM is pretty grounded and will want to get more experience before moving on, plus i honestly think he likes it at Town, he knows he has the owners backing, the club is very stable....why leave? He is young, has plenty of time to move on to bigger and better things!!
I sort of agree, but if someone comes along & waves a whole load of cash at him, what is he to do ? Just look at Graham Potter at Brighton, not a million miles away from what KM is achieving here, he was off like a flash. Arguing against myself, maybe KM will look at something like that & realise the grass isn,t always greener etc...
We’ve seen careers wrecked by making the jump to a giant club too soon and even with experience Moyes and Potter couldn’t live up to it. If you go to Celtic you have to win the league more often than you don’t.
Looks like he fits the profile of recent signings https://www.twtd.co.uk/ipswich-town-news/45077/evertons-simms-on-towns-list
It's not always about "better players", as i'm sure we've had "better" players in the past, who haven't done well for us. As you mentioned, its all about the profile of the player, and will he fit in - as well as obviously having talent.
Not sure about Simms but we need a forward who can work the back line and get in behind as whilst Ladapo has alot of strengths the balance of the team looked far better with Hirst in it and we were able to vary our play alot more. Rak-Sakyi looked a good player from what I saw but is a wide man, so not sure who he'd come in for.
One downfall of being in the same division as Sunderland.....the ****ing village idiot that is Saff!! Run along bellend!!
I actually like it when fans of other clubs come on our board, can't beat a bit of football rivalry (as long as no one from Colchester comes on board)
Probably the best news we’ll have this summer - crucial to get McKenna fully committed and hopefully scares off the likes of Celtic and Leicester.
