I wouldn't want to do it, I can't think of anything in our solar system worth looking at. I've got nothing against science and exploration, I'm not one of these people that complain about the billions spent on it, because it's what humans do explore and evolve. I think our future date of extinction can never be changed, because even if we escape Earth, we will never escape the solar system, unless someone comes and shows us the way, but as I don't believe aliens exist our future date with destiny is as good as written in stone.
I wouldn't want to do it eiither. There's plenty on this planet I've yet to discover and I doubt I'll get to see or explore 0.1% of it in my lifetime. I'm fully on board with others going though, but that's hopefully for some bigger purpose which will benefit humanity somehow. I don't know about how long humans will exist. Earth is predicted to be around for a few billion years. Will humans be around for the same amount of time? Fck knows.
we can put all the lgbtqx crowd on space ship and send that off…. after all they’re already on another planet init
Space is an ocean. Imagine you were the 1st person To ever go fishing and you catch nothing but crabs so decide fishing is now pointless as you don't like crab. Plenty more fish in the sea
We have only discovered about 15% of the ocean Imagine if these clowns didn’t have access via books etc to the intelligence gathered over centuries by the learned within our societies…the mathematicians, biologists, Astronomers, physicists They would think no life form exists in our oceans maybe the odd surface fish they come fishing for on a weekly basis but nothing else because last time they filled a bucket with water from the ocean on their hunting trip, there were no blue whales, tiger sharks and Octopus in their salty sandy bucket of water.
Humanity has been around 300k years already and no sign of decline, so according to the the Lindy effect we are most likely to still be around 300k years in the future. That's long enough that by then I'm sure we won't be tied to earth anymore and we can make other bodies look more hospitable.
no just your research and where to find it… what’s up cat caught your tongue……what’s data saying about excess deaths for the last two years and riding fella….has big pharmaceutical directed you yet Ps if you wanna see British data it’s on the Covid thread and gives links of where to find the information from the horses mouth…..heart conditions through the fking roof in age groups not normally high risk
Brave new world……did the lindy effect take into account the short period of time we went from caveman to the used and abused unwanted eaters by the wealthiest section of the pyramid structure. The battle to keep our dna pure is on https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-65914934
This is precisely why I want to explore the oceans. Done the Indian Ocean already bcos it's the warmest. Once I've greased myself up enough, I'll take a dip in the Pacific.
Possibly... or we could nuke each other to smithereens. Or an asteroid could destroy most life on Earth including all humans. Or as I'm sure is the most like, God will flick the switch on judgement day and we'll all be lining up to a new home - up there or down below
There is no judgement day, our solar system will naturally end its cycle once our Sun turns into a red giant, but ourselves as in Earth will probably be gone long before that - so we have about 5 billion years to find these crabs that Sucky is looking for in space.
