Sad to hear about John Hollins..... did a huge amount of the donkey work that allowed Gerry, Don, Stanley and all the others do their thing in that great side..... and to think we picked him up from the Sw6 lot for next to nothing as they thought he was past it...... RIP John
John Hollins RIP Played with his heart amongst a team of great talent. Always came across as an honest player and a gent. A solid player for us, always ready to do the gritty work in the middle and defensively. And a great leader to have in the team. Condolences to the Hollins family.
RIP John Hollins. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...s-dies-aged-76-John-Terry-leads-tributes.html Also a great QPR man.
Double Oscar-winning actress and former Labour MP Glenda Jackson has died aged 87 after a brief illness, her agent says. RIP
Former Scotland, Manchester United and Leeds defender Gordon McQueen has died aged 70. McQueen was diagnosed with vascular dementia in February 2021. He started his career at St Mirren before moving to Leeds in 1972, winning the First Division two years later and playing an important role in their run to the 1975 European Cup final. RIP
Ffs what's going on ? Remember him as a no nonsense centre half with Leeds, Utd and Scotland . The most elegant of players but still a fine defender. 2 gone in 2 days from my childhood. RIP Gordon
A fine actress, and conscientious Labour MP and minister. Remember her particularly as Gudrun in Ken Russell's film of Lawrence's Women in Love
As the post says, from a different era in football, when the players didn't all suffer from delusions of grandeur. A better time regarding how the players regarded the fans, in my opinion. This has turned out to be a very sad day
