I couldn't disagree more. How do you separate what city are doing and other teams performances. You can't. There is no coincidence here. You can't take one factor out of the equation and say the rest stays the same. Football doesn't work like that. Life doesn't work like that.

the fixtures are out today. I'm awaiting dribs thread on this but the usual fakes are out saying its luton away for LFC.

I would absolutely love that to be the first game. we might as well get the humiliation over with early and get resigned to the fact FSG won't back the club before the transfer window closes ;)

Can’t happen given Luton’s first few games are away from home due to work ongoing on their stadium

Chelsea away first. Not the fixture you want to start with short of quality midfielders. Need to get a move on in the transfer window.

    united at home
    arsenal at home
    Burnley away
    Newcastle home

looks fine to me. 3 home games and an away game just down the road. Minimal travelling.

It's 3 top 6 games in short order.

travelling has nothing to do with it. those are tough games with no rest possibility.

we can forget the league cup as of today as these 4 games would be interfered with by league cup games.

that's a massively difficult challenge over a short period.

To be fair, being in the europa this year, that's probably one of the few periods where we'll have a run of games each requiring our best XI.

    Or it’s a team we beat 7-0
a team that rarely wins at anfield
    a newly promoted team
plus another team that rarely wins at anfield

play the team not the name

    AH COME ON.

    LOL

its the teams that are top 4 right now. today.

Man utd are baout to drop another 200-300mil on players. you cannot judge by a unique results and cannot be taken seriously if you do.

Arsneal finished 2nd and are either a top side or not. Barring a xhaka push and tired legs we were 0-2 down and well second best in that game til we woke up last season. either arsenal are a top side or they are not.

Newcastle are about to drop massive cash on their team due to doping. Thats not going to be a n easy game at all.

Those are 3 tough games right there in a very short period of time.

I'd suspect man city will not want their game with us to be saturday at 12:30 so we should be ok there but i see The other 3 games as somehow ending up at 12:30 on the saturday.

there are not too bad. 2 are away games so 100% going to be 12:30am

Ok it’s a team we’ve beat 7-0 and 4-0 in the last 2 home games we’ve played against them.

    so?

you are talking like we are god's gift and didn't finish behind man utd in the league and man utd won't be improving at all.

Man utd are a top 4 side. its a tough game. I am not going to go back in time pulling out why its a tough game. Its tough for them too

    the difference though

    16: Liverpool (a)
    23: West Ham (a)
    26: Aston Villa (h)
    30: Nottingham Forest (a)

If I were asked i'd rather their 4 fixtures than ours even though 3 are away games.

    30: Sheffield United (h)

Awkward contradicting yourself in the same line.

How do you know United won’t be 16th when we play them with us top having not lost a game all season?

3 home games is far easier than 3 away games. Our record at Anfield over the past x years is incredible. Even last year when we were **** still only lost 1 game at Anfield
