    1. It dont rhyme

    2. Why do those posh poems always make a normal sentence into some poncy longspeak... For example that should just say.
When the lambs is lost in the mountain, its cries. For it's mother but sometimes gets the wolf.

    But nah...
When the lambs is lost in the mountain, he said. They is cry. Sometime come the mother. Sometime the wolf.

    They is cry??? <doh>

Posh no rhyming fake poet morons.

    Not you bro, them

It's from a book, not a poem and it would be spoken in a deep South poor community (US) dialect hence the "They is cry".

    Indeed.
    Poetry never really grabbed me.
Brevity is the soul of wit, and most poets use far too many words to say so little.

It's not poetry FFS. They are quotes from novels by Cormack McCarthy. He recently passed away. You know nothing Bod Snow.

It is spring, moonless night in the small town, starless
and bible-black, the cobblestreets silent and the hunched,
courters'-and-rabbits' wood limping invisible down to the
sloeblack, slow, black, crowblack, fishingboatbobbing sea.
The houses are blind as moles (though moles see fine to-night
in the snouting, velvet dingles) or blind as Captain Cat
there in the muffled middle by the pump and the town clock,
the shops in mourning, the Welfare Hall in widows' weeds.
And all the people of the lulled and dumbfound town are
    sleeping now.
