You set the terms of the engagement, not me. If we're tarring all one side with the same brush, then we have to do the same to the other.

You're happy to attach Johnson's actions to Sunak's tenure.

One Labour leader back and the voting history gets interesting. Not to mention the people he associated with. Should we attach that to Starmer?

I want accountability and culpability to lie with the right people. Not with who I or anyone personally blames for events based on any preconceptions. It's the only way to do these things, otherwise they really do become witch hunts.

The tories were in power the past 13 years but its not fair to call them out when Labour 14 years ago are equally as bad and they also put Corbyn forward as leader in 2019?

It’s such weird behaviour from his followers - can’t be blamed for anything - maybe it’s easier for them than admitting he hoodwinked them big style, took the piss through Covid and waltzed off in a huff when he got called out.

So you're saying Starmer as the current leader can't be held responsible for a previous leader's actions despite the majority of the political party remaining the same?

Agree, nowt queer as some folks on here. They just won't let him go. Hopefully the Privileges Committee report puts the final nail in Johnson coffin

It's fair to call the right people out. Tory or Labour (or even LD).

Just imagine if Corbyn had prorogued Parliament, hid in a fridge, held piss ups in No10, lied to the House, been fined by the police, fathered multiple children, etc ...

... Boris's fan club would be asking for the death penalty <laugh>

I'd rather have Steptoe as PM tbh.

Heavily into the free market, recycling, eco-transport and providing housing for the next generation ...

... as well as being fiercely patriotic, born & bred here and clearly not a burden on the NHS dental services.

It's human nature although we pretend it isn't.

The further away a murder happens the less it bites.

A good mate of my son at Carlton nick, is a detective sergeant, and has been involved in the aftermath of this. His brother was knifed to death twenty years ago when he was a young adult.

No idea how he must be feeling, I'm surprised they're using him on the case tbh.

My lad is a student in the city. I work close to where it happened and you watch it on the news and recognise it. It just seems senseless, which it is of course.

I hope everyone who needs it gets the appropriate support. PTSD can be extremely debilitating without intervention so watch out for any signs or symptoms he may display that young people tend ignore.
