Almost certainly I would think. He will probably go on and make millions, like others have, too. It may be this episode adds more chapters to a book, or more pounds on a talking fee to be honest. Sad as it is, that is the culture we have it seems to me, at the top of politics anyway.

unfortunately correct i guess...sad thing is that if it was 'the man in the street' he would have lost the lot, won't happen to the idle rich as they are scared someone removes their wealth/income as well.

Do you think that if the tories loose the next GE the liar will be able to claim the loss was nothing to do with him, it was all Rishi fault for making 5 promises he could never keep?

We didn't mate and that's why it's so f*ck*ng aggravating seeing people like Johnson, Hancock and Allegra Stratton laughing it up and taking the mickey out of mugs like me.

How could Allegra Stratton address Downing Street colleagues about something Johnson would claim happened behind his back in his own house. Surely she'd be dropping every in serious trouble if the PM was totally unaware.

I did what they told me out of respect for people working themselves to a standstill in an NHS cracking under the strain and for anyone I might've infected and killed.

I didn't want that on my conscience but, then again, I have one.

You can be sure he will. Probably spend the election campaign pointing it out and making Sunaks job even harder.

If true that’s one of the best things he has done, he should have also done the same with all the other random mates Boris has put on the list however.

Or at least ask for reasons why they should be added as some of the names are ridiculous.

Politics live quite good today. Henry Hill, deputy editor ConservativeHome saying Rishi getting sucked into media cycle all about party pyscho drama, he should have held off on approving The Liars resignation honours list until the report was released.

Hill was very critical of The Liar lack of action, his resignation letter was a repudiation of his own record. He said why are we raising taxes, he broke a manifesto commitment to raise national insurance. He said why have done nothing Retained E. U law, he was PM for 3 years and didn't even table the Retained E. U Law bill, had to wait for Lizz Truss to do that. Nothing he said about being a proper Conservative government in his letter he actually did. If you are the Captain, there is a credit column for The Liar, but there is also a debit column and surely its bigger.

He failed to play his card, the 80 seat majority, his fault. He is great at being a columnists, great at spinning allusions for people, but when he is actually in power he doesn't do anything with it. That's why it would be mad to have him back in the parliamentary Conservative party destabilising a future government.

Do you think having an ex-PM struggling for money is a good thing? Open to offers from, for example, Russia, or China, to take a few quid to push their interests?

Even the likes of Johnson and Truss have influence after they've gone.

Genuinely eccentric people are often amusing and interesting although they see themselves as perfectly normal and ordinary ...

...but there's something quite creepy and cringing about people who desperately try to be a witty and fascinating 'character'.

Like posh blokes who truly believe they're accepted as 'one of the lads' down the local <doh>

    'struggling for money'?

i hardly think he will be but is it really fair that he should still claim his benefits on top of his wealth? (not just him of course, all the very wealthy)...while so many more struggle to get what they need.

It makes no difference to someone like Boris, if someone is offering to help his cause with bags of cash he’ll probably take it whether he needs it or not.

He loved the idea of being PM but didnt want to be bothered with the processes and protocol of actually doing the work of a PM.

That's probably the only thing he has in common with his hero Churchill. The difference is that Churchill was dedicated to doing that particular job at hand and obsessed with detail, procedure and likely outcomes. When Ukraine was invaded Johnson just ran around flinging money in the air worrying about which of his Russian chums he'd have to avoid upsetting. There was no deep thinking, planning or aims, just straight out for yet another photo-opportunity.

Churchill wouldn't have had any use for the clown in any capacity.

So it's fine for every PM going forwards then?

It's not just about Johnson. A difficult concept for some, I know.

Meanwhile in haggis land, Mrs Krankie after being arrested and questioned for several hours about fraud/missing funds in the SNP, when she was released, she said how upset and distressed she was.

The SNP MSPs, as a gesture of ???? Have sent her some flowers! <doh>
