Can't see Fammy returning, it's rare players come back and are better, tbf he didn't pull up trees when he was here. However he's big, mobile and quick and would be interesting should NP and staff use him to more effect in the pressing game we play these days.
Bournemouth join the race for Bristol City teenager Alex Scott and will rival Wolves and West Ham for his signature... but the Cherries are put off by the Championship side's £25m asking price Scott has been one of City's standout players and is set for a move up a division Bournemouth are keeping an eye on the player but are reluctant to pay £25m https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...in-race-Bristol-City-teenager-Alex-Scott.html
Seems a common theme, PL clubs show interest but put off by the £25m price tag. His next move is important for his progression. The advantage he has over many of his contemporaries is he plays regularly, if he moves to a PL side that don’t play him that advantage goes, he needs regular games. He may even be better off staying here another season, especially if we’re challenging, than moving to a PL club only to sit on the bench. On the other side, it’ll only take one PL team to break ranks and make an acceptable offer and several others may follow, then it’s over to Scott and his advisors to choose a club that aren’t likely to get relegated, I personally wouldn’t recommend B, muff as they aren’t high profile enough. However Spurs are another matter, it would then depend on whether he’s Likely to play or not.
Eventually I agree. Not sure yet though as I can’t see he’d get game time at a top 6 club. Spurs or someone similar is his best bet for me, sort of mid table club , as he’s more likely to play.
Surely he would look at how little they have utilised Antoine since he went there in Jan, and that would put him off. I have bigger hopes for him than Bournemouth, and I'm sure his agent does as well.
Alex is on a completely different level to Antoine, B’Muff ain’t nowhere good enough. He’d be better off staying here for another season, he’s destined for much greater things.

Wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t bother, having read about false keepers, whereby if Max gets injured and we don’t have a keeper that has previous league experience we can bring in a lone.
Apparently a deal was there to be done but it could not get over the line hence the move for Roberts.
I don't disagree about a keeper. Max is ok, but probably not good enough to be a No 1 for a team that wants play-offs this season. We all knew the defence needed some depth after last seasons injuries, and the fact that NP see's Naismith as a def mid now, instead of a defender, which was what he signed him as. We have some experience in their now as well with Dickie, and the lad from Aberdeen to help the likes of Tanner. I would say that any furuther signings now depend on Scott going, if he does, I think we need at least 1 more midfielder of proven Championship (or better) experience - it's worth paying for...
A BIG PACEY STRONG NO9 who scores goals-that will cost. A Attacking midfielder that scores A GOALKEEPER AND I WOULD BE VERY HAPPY INDEED.
I hope we don't get spooked by spending money before, and now try to go cheap. For me, that is unlikely to help us succeed tbh. I see this coming season being far more competitive with what has gone up and down. Add to that, Norwich, Watford, WBA etc. probably won't be as poor again as last season, and breaking the top 6 looks a big ask, if we don't buy some quality, and experience.
