BLAZING SADDLES Those who have watched the hillarious film, Blazing Sadles, will remember that the local town was populated by people, all callled JOHNSON. I read this morning that Boris is also unhappy that his Father, Stanley, isn't going to get the Knighthood he put him up for. Boris stuck his Brother in The Lords and, no doubt, expects his own elevation in due course. All he will need to do after that is to get his Children and current wife shoe-horned into the upper house and he could end up with a Quorum of his own. He COULD have come out of this ridiculous fuss looking good, if he had just smiled, shrugged his shoulders ans said, it's not important. Instead he is looking foolish in the extreme. IF he is contemplating a comeback, anytime soon, this has NOT been the way to prpare the ground.

One this morning said, 'Lots of people were at these so-called parties but Boris is being left to carry the can'. Yes, that's his job ffs. And he's the only one who was PM, made the rules and lied to Parliament about breaking them. They keep missing the obvious point that the parties aren't the issue, it's misleading the House, and therefore the country, as the Prime Minister. The point is that this committee is Tory based and that all they can do is produce a summary of what happened ... it's up to a seriously top heavy Tory majority to decide on a verbal warning or something else. I'm not particularlt bothered that the Rules were broken. I suspect that if we are honest, most of us did, My particular sin was not sittingfar enough away from other members of the company, when we were allowed back in The Pub's.
