In 2017 Derringham ward Lib Dem councillors offered Garrowby Orchard to local residents to look after and manage, they've done a cracking job, the site as breeding Woodpeckers, Deer, Newts and numerous other things as well as providing residents with there only accessible green space.

In 2023 Lib Dem Paul Drake-Davies and Hull LiB Dem leadership are trying to sell the land, scroll down to see the hyprocisy of Paul Drake-Davies in a old tweet he made.

On another note this is actaully against Hull City Council's own written constitution !

A visit to town today and good things -
Really love the old town so good to see -
    1. Telstar bar conversion looks really fitting with original features, leaded windows and colours great . still mainly covered by builders screens unfortunately
    2. Other shop fronts in Whitefriargate re done and looking better so far
    3. Solicitors moved in to a double fronted unit there which is a good sign.
    4. Dexters bar does some decent food facing the Minster in Trinity Sq on a sunny day great place to sit.
    5. . Didn’t realise it was there but ‘ Still ‘
Lovely little coffee and wine bar near top of Posterngate quirky , retro and ‘different’ proper coffee in good feel to the place .
6 . All the scaffolding off Guildhall rooftop statues on Guildhall looking from monument bridge , if you’ve not really looked at them for a minute or two from there you’ve missed their splendour and their size they really are Londonesque scale and quality - we are worthy !
7 . Loads of kiddies playing in the fountains in Vicky Square nice to see and hear the sound of innocent young kids playing.
    .8 . shame Bluewater shut a negative
9 . Be good when Burtons building done
Shame about the closed shops but sign if the times .

Went in Still a few weeks ago.
It was a ‘pop up’ night in collaboration with Social Distortion (who used to be on Prinny Ave)
Can’t judge food really, but drinks were good as were the staff and the general feel of the place.
Glad it was good on a ‘normal’ day too

Hull city council to begin consultation process to see how peak time bus lanes would work. I would say it will be just as it was before they changed it to all day bus lanes.

Lead bashing, or dressing to give its proper term is a skill that not all plumbers can get to grips with, me included, I’m ok with step flashings, but that is skill that only a few can do, your only a tap away from ripping the lead, I know, I nearly cried when I’ve done it.

Having seen old school plumbers wiping lead joints it's a skill but also an art form. :emoticon-0125-mmm:

We employ a couple of local lads on a subcontractor basis.Recently done works at Normanby hall and Baysgarth museum. To see the standards these lads work to is a eye opener it’s absolutely first class ,it’s hard work but very rewarding..If you want to see it done by an amateur look no further than the canopy on the hotel on north church side, looks like it’s been dressed with a brick.

    That's great, low-tech craftmanship at it's best.

My dad was a plumber for over 60 years and could wipe lead joints. He used a small cloth called a Moleskin to do it.

I’ve still done the odd one recently when a mechanical fixing won’t fit, strictly not allowed now, but when you're in a potential re pipe and you haven’t quoted for it, **** em.

    Was a decent boozer

A Hull city centre pub could be converted into a 32-bed housing development under plans lodged following news of its closure.

Plans lodged with Hull City Council would see The New Clarence, in Charles Street, converted into a 32-bed house of multiple occupation (HMO). Applicants Kingston Apartments Ltd stated converting the former pub building to use as housing would be the best way to guarantee its future.

A company called Outdoor Toys commissioned a study to find the best city in the UK to raise a family.

They looked at house prices, utility bills, school Ofsted ratings and things to do in the City.

Hull and Liverpool came out in joint top place.
