You're not an idiot, you know full well the point being made and pretending otherwise or calling it wummery is just deflection. What makes you different to the ppl who tune in to City every week when you were doing the same with uber rich Barca? You're welcome.
You're beginning to sound like Diego. So what's your point? You weren't good enough, you get no prizes for that. You have to do better. The end.
Think you make lots of good points Trebs I totally agree we all have to better I have stated from start I have no issue with someone buying the league as it were There are just bigger sharks in the tank my - I can’t say worry - as I am not worried Will say observation on this is quite simple City have upped the game for everyone we are now No longer talking a best 11 or 13 or 15 We are talking quality signings (your big ass signings) in position 20-30 in the squad so everyone else has to find a way to develop their squad to the degree that city can afford I think only a city Newcastle Chelsea can manage this I think your boys are the only ones capable of sustaining a challenge financially because of your global size from the none heavily backed clubs that group is going to get very small imho What I think we will see is a domination between Newcastle and City the likes we have never seen before Doubles and trebles and the quad will go (prob newcastle lol) nearly every year how many doubles/trebles have Celtic Rangers Barca PSG RMadrid Bayern won I think that’s where our league is heading I am fairly confident I won’t live to see the end of this period
I'm in no way condoning the way City have gone about financially doping the league. NOT AT ALL. My point is that we should treat it like a challenge to overcome rather than constantly crying about it. You're right, who the hell has the financial clout to compete when you have virtually two first teams in that City squad. But I made this point at the start. I think the main difference is the manager. THAT particular factor was the same for Liverpool back in the day, it was the same for United, and it is Pep who is making the difference now. I think it's possible to overcome City even with Pep. But I have no doubt that when he leaves, City despite their money will not be as dominant, and clubs like United, Liverpool, Arsenal with the right manager and football being played will be more successful.
As I say I agree on most I defo not crying about City what teams need to be doing though is going balls out against these clubs city still enjoy a lot of easy games imho look at our two clubs Every time our clubs set foot on that pitch everyone wants to beat us city just don’t have that appeal right now they will get it but it isn’t there atm imho in 3 days time when the fixtures get released which English fixtures are most going to look for - I will best most involve Utd and LFC I still cannot bring myself round to Pep is great city were winning plenty without him won’t go into the manager debate - for me Pep and City are like F1 for years I have said if you get a good driver (not the best but a good to very good) and stick them in the best car - you have your champion city feel similar - I think they have a very good manager in Pep but he is not the best by a long way - and to not turn this into the GMOAT debate - he not even close to Ferguson imho yep defo right about the challenge and every time someone wins something it should be treated like Leicester have just won the league lol that’s why - imho - a lot of the vitriol aimed at Klopp and LFC winning the title and even challenging was crazy (understandable from some clubs Tbf) but that’s just the way things are
How long can Chelsea keep spending like they have? Boehly is a billionaire, but even he has his limits, he's worth what, $4 or $5 billion. He already had to spend a major amount to buy Chelsea, and he's already invested like crazy in them. He can't keep spending like he has indefinitely. Qatar obviously want in in England, if they don't buy United, they will buy someone else. They might not be the last. I think things get interesting when you have three or more clubs doped by nation-states. At that point doped clubs are going to lose more often than they win and that's going to lead to fatigue in the doping nation that is paying for a losing team and eventually cause that team to be sold. What happens to a club that has been financially doped when the rug is pulled out from underneath them? I imagine it isn't pretty.
Goodness knows mate MITO keeps giving me hope but nothing ever happens Don’t think it ever will I actually don’t think it can tbh plus I defo wouldn’t want to be handed a title like that in the words of the great Edward Hitler ‘It’s all bollox’ Lmao
I'd much rather win the old fashioned way and be self-sustainable, but I see the attraction from some fans, especially ones who haven't seen much success in the last decade+ of wanting to get rich and buy the league. I think for many there is a "if you can't beat 'em-join 'em" mentality. And not being rich means there is a danger that with more clubs being doped you could be left out and become irrelevant and start to go all Evertonian. There again, being brightly funded for several years and then getting the rug pulled could be an even quicker descent into debt and the depths of the pyramid.
We were having a discussion about Man City cheating. You suggested clubs needed to step up, Liverpool under Klopp absolutely stepped up, more so than any other side have and it still wasn't enough. Does that mean I've given up? No. Do I think we need need to keep trying? Obviously. Does it mean we should accept Man City cheating? Absolutely not. They not all linked mate, they're different things.
it's this simple. city are cheating and everyone knows it. the charge levied are only the tip of the iceberg. no journalists have the balls to do what the guy did with lance Armstrong and stalk them and just lay it out in front of them for falear of law suits. guardiola was asked once about how much he was actually getting paid under the table and he lost his head totally. that journo never asked again. I'd say the law suit threats to his paper was savage we literally only get to see a tiny bit of the scheming thats gone on. Chelsea are not exclusively owned by the Todd. its a sharpie of investors there. newcastle are owned by the people who chop heads off and bought golf, wwe, ufc etc. they will lut billions through if allowed. no amount of doping will be done. it's that simple. either there's a route for clubs to try grow or there is not. it would have been better that this point for some clubs to have told the scab 6 clubs to go right ahead and **** off than where it will now go. at least when the 6 went to the super league then the remaining money would be more even and the dopers would be in a competition the saudis could just buy out totally. now we will get to see leagues even more distorted. the current example is Brighton. they have a piddling revenue level and pay average wages and have generated a decent team that's going to be destroyed before it starts in earnest. the sharks will eat it alive. Brighton need at least 10 years to grow their "brand" to compete with some clubs but its not totally impossible to do. when a Saudi shark eats newcastle then fakes 1 bullion in revenue to burst the rules apart and pays anything they like in fees I suppose it'll be fine because the prem is "competitive" again Chelsea's antics are bad enough lately without adding more to that. they have on their own managed to inflate the market buly about 20% in 12 months.
prem doping la liga. in effect doping due to unfair tv distribution serie a. the x is telling. thats where match fixing scandal was resolved and most titles after that were more fairish than when juve came back up. Germany is one big club that the masses support. it cannot be denied that the ownership is fairer in Germany than anywhere but there's masses of registered fans. they are then allowed bully other clubs though. Holland. 2 big clubs. thsts the way it is in 2 big cities Portugal. similar to Holland. big city clubs with best support. the only difference really is lwagues are dominated by the best supported teams from biggest cities rather than doped nothings.
When I say clubs need to see it as a challenge to improve themselves and overcome them, it's a simple point. You haven't improved or stepped up enough to overcome them, so I don't see the relevance of your post. Wasn't it one of your revered managers who said 'If you are first you are first. If you are second you are nothing."
We have overcome them, you seem to be forgetting we won a title pretty recently, just not this year. After overcoming them we have undercome them again! With a little luck we might come all over them again in a few years.
Lol, no other club has challenge City in the last 6ish years. Without us City would have cantered to the title with games to spare like this season. And what is enough. We gained 90+ points 3 times under Klopp (which would have won the league pretty much any other time), only one of those was good enough to beat City. How does a team 'Step up' consistently to challenge City or Newcastle who have infinite resources. Build a team to challenge is easy to say. You can build a team, but teams age and players move so how does a club keep up with the a fore mentioned for more than a few seasons without constant high spending (which would be unsustainable for most clubs)
The mentality I'm getting from you and others on here is that bcos you pushed City all the way somehow you're owed something. You're not. What's done is done, my whole sentiment is to look forward not back. Football is always about looking forward. City with this manager is formidable but not unbeatable. Instead of crying and whinging about them cheating, it's more productive to see it as a challenge, even an unfair one, to overcome. That's looking forward mate. But no, bcos you couldn't manage it everyone should just give up bcos it's so hard, it's so hard to keep playing well, it's so hard to keep building new sides lol
