Hard to forgive the Liberals for what they did. I actually liked their manifesto that year but they helped vote through the polar opposite for a bit of tv coverage.

Sex pests, bores and ideological zealots.

It'll just be a different stink of sleaze.

Which is going to be great fun watching some posters, eyes watering, pretend they can't smell it.

Sorry, it looked like you'd got yourself confused with how poorly the tories were performing ripping of Britain.

The evidence is highlighted every week re Labour and their abject failings. The lack of acknowledgement on this thread when it is posted is telling. It will be years of ignoring posts about their utter lack of any values, like we see already, because they arent tory so it is ok. I even answered one poster directly about who in Labour was worthy of being criticised, the day a front bencher was criticised, and they are yet to acknowledge it acknowledge it happens. You see these Labour values are so very positive, even when they are clearly hypocritical and demeaning, marginally better than tories are to be lauded it appears.

You should remember that much of what you're posting is often not much more than your opinion or, at best, a little hysterical and exaggerated. That may be why people don't always acknowledge what you're claiming. I often ignore what you post as I do with 'Labour posters' if I think the language is becoming extreme. Being ignored doesn't automatically mean you're right.

As far as your 'question' is concerned I've had thirteen years of Tory government much of which has been poor and is currently a shambles ...

... I'm not yet sure how I'll vote but it certainly won't be for more of this chaos and a party more concerned with itself than the country. If you're talking about failings and lack of values you only need to look close to home.

You can find failings in any of the parties, look at the mess the SNP are in. It just happens that the biggest focus is on the main parties and people are trying their best to dig up as much dirt on Labour as possible to take focus away from the rotten Tory party. No party is perfect especially when the pressure is on.

I’ve already decided I’ll be voting for Labour unless something catastrophic happens, either that or I’d be tactical voting to get this lot out.

The broad facts are pretty simple as they are right in front of us over the last 13 years of Tory government.

    1. Forced an unnecessary austerity that stifled economic growth, decimated public services, scrapped many schemes that gave vulnerable people a start/support while widening the wealth disparities to levels not seen since Victorian times.

    2. Decided on a referendum with disastrous consequences economically and socially whichever way it’s dressed up - I voted leave by the way (regret that now) and am angered at the lies told through the campaign.

    3. The Russian influence report that Johnson never had published.

    4. The “oven ready deal” - didn’t exist. Still a mess.

    5. The failure at every level to process asylum claims - cynically thinking is this to create a bogey man to deflect from lack of anything worthwhile being done by this government.

    6. The 40 new hospitals - white elephant/lie.

    7. Deliberate crashing of the economy to give a tax cut to the businesses and billionaires who didn’t need it.

    8. Chaotically 3 PMs in a term because they couldn’t stop going on the drink at illegal parties while the rest of us were keeping our distance from friends and family.

    9. The 3 word slogans that eventually mean nothing as soon as there’s the slightest scratch beneath the surface.

    10. Horrendous divisive statements by the likes of Johnson, Patel, Braverman stirring up hatred not to mention Rees Mogg sickeningly insinuating the victims of grenfell tragedy lacked ‘common sense’

But Labour is not a rational argument for ignoring the above and asking for more of the same. Just my opinion.

Just as the performance of the Tories shouldn't give Labour a free pass on all their obvious issues.

In most other circumstances they'd be ready to take over by now after 13 years. However, due to the decisions they made concerning their leadership they're starting from 2019.

    Great summary.
Although the sad thing is nearly every literate person in the country could have penned a similar list, very easily.

True although I’m not that bright because I missed off the bits about the PPE scandals ala Mone and other Tory linked beneficiaries.

Seems the Italian Boris has scarpered as well ...

'Silvio Berlusconi, the former Italian PM who bounced back from sex scandals and corruption allegations, has died aged 86.'

    12th June, 2023, 09:40 BST

The comparisons are quite interesting although only one knew how to dress himself and comb his hair. The other got out of bed three minutes before he was due to address the nation on the latest death tolls from Covid.

Both men are serial cheats and liars, both made rules they subsequently broke and then lied to their own Parliament ...

... and it's obvious lots of people wished they could be them, and admired them, for those exact reasons.

Yes but Boris is a character ...

... people on Jeremy Vine shouting that 'it's a kangaroo court' and 'Boris is the best PM this country has ever had' <doh>

Seriously, is there no slogan, so idiotic, that people won't hear and repeat.

Listening to 5 Live and theres still a steady amount of people refusing to see the wood for the trees, bullied, churchillian like, nearly died, single handedly rolled out the vaccine, witch hunt, all the others probably did the same.
And they all use his forename for some strange reason. Like he’s their mate or something. It really is cult like.

Awful TV, at least Regina from Hadleigh called him out and is glad to see the back of him.
