Heard the same. And apparently Kinnear has narrowed it down to 2 candidates for the job, no names given, plus the 49ers have one of their own, interviews to be done Tues/Wed decision made by weekend at latest. Quite a bit of talk of a Webber ,dof/Farke, coach, partnership as they worked well together at Norwich and the club feel it could be a smooth transition
Gut feeling is we won't go with Farke. Not fussed if we do though as he's probably a decent shout to get us out of the Championship
On the subject of interviewing potential managers isn't it all a bit pointless ? Yes by all means have a long chat with the guy you're planning on giving the job to but the idea that there's 2 or 3 candidates and the one that talks the best gets the job has to be bollocks. Football coaching is about achievements out on the grass and not bullshitting in the boardroom but then again Simon Jordan is always waffling on about the importance of managing up, anyway WTF does he know as he went bust at Palace and did his dough in. If Big Sam taught us anything it's surely that talk is cheap in a results based business.
I see the rhinos lost to the only team to lose all their ****ing matches up to today 14..... If the city of Leeds isn't cursed I will show my ....there must be something in the.genes of the city as to why we always seem to make other teams losing streaks stop when they face a leeds associated side .... bizarre
I know. Well I thought I knew. Now I'm not so sure. Anyway gotta be careful not to poke the wrong nutcase around here
I guess it’s a bit pointless if the person interviewing knows fck all about football Themselves.. which will be the case in this instance.
Let's be honest in that good managers/coaches don't do short lists. Yes they'll indulge the owner/DOF or whomever but at the end of the day they know they've got the job before they turn up. Or like Bielsa you can come to me and we'll see what you've got to say for yourselves.
I think that’s true for the handful of elite coaches who can afford to do that. Not sure it’s the reality for everyone else. But it’s the same as player transfers… they all have agents/intermediaries who know the score of who’s interested in who. Except Leeds of course, as the DOF didn’t know we were sacking the manager.
