Supcon72, to a degree I agree about Atkinson. I also agree NP hasn't yet sorted the RB and RW side yet. Naismith's mistakes are getting caught trying to play and firmly believe he will play in his best position as a defensive midfielder next season as NP now has choices. Whereas Vyner just doesn't get caught in possession the poor sod can't move his feet quickly enough turning. I think that's why he's a danger in 'their' box from set pieces - he only has to face and run one way Let's see how things develop next season. Generally, I hope the Scott transfer one way or the other is resolved soon. We need a Championship keeper and will need a few others if Scott leaves.
I’m failing to see in that lot, why he was soo special? Anyway my mum told to stop mocking the dimlows so I’m leaving you alone on this one.
Isn't he one of the main nominees for our player of the season? Maybe it's only you that can't see his value RP......
He won players player of the year. But what do they know eh. https://www.bcfc.co.uk/news/all-the-winners-from-the-city-awards-dinner/ Alex Scott won player and young player of the year.
Supcon72 and Rod. NP has signed 2 central defenders who I think are right footed. No surprise to me as Vyner was the only player we had last season who was right footed. If Kalas signs with a reduced salary then we'll see how many games Vyner is selected next season.
Fair point; there will be more competition for CB spots if everyone stays fit, not just for Vyner. I see the guy from Aberdeen being used more as RB, as we don't have enough quality there, then Vyner, Dickie, Atkinson and one other - hopefully Kalas, fighting for the 2 CB spots. Assuming NP adopts a 4-3-3 formation? I thought we needed left-footed CB's? Aren't Vyner, Kalas and Atkinson all right-footed?
Atkinson is a left footer. Kalas is a right footer. Vyner was the only right footer we had fit last season.
Is there a breakdown of how many goals we conceded in each half of the season? I feel we conceded more in the first half with Atkinson and Naismith as 2 of the 3 CBs?
It's why he was never dropped. With competition it will be different. If Supcon72 is correct about McCrorie playing RB and that Kalas leaves then Vyner will, sadly, play.

please log in to view this image Haydon Roberts and compensation Apologies in advance as this is all a bit hypothetical but is worth flagging because, so far, four Premier League clubs from last season - Wolves, Leicester, Nottingham Forest and Everton - have confirmed their retained lists for the summer detailing exactly who will be leaving when their contract expires at the end of the month. Brighton's, which should be published this week, is widely expected to include Haydon Roberts on there, given the fact the 21-year-old posted a goodbye message to his boyhood club on social media about a fortnight ago. What's increasingly important for City is whether or not Brighton have offered the defender a new contract. If they have, while appears to have turned it down, any club signing him on a free transfer e.g. City will be eligible to pay compensation which could end up being a high-ish figure given his league experience on loan, projected ceiling, the fact he has England youth caps and the time he's spent at the Amex in their academy. More shall be revealed/confirmed later this week but it's something worth keeping an eye on.
I'll be honest, I'd never heard of him until last week, but this echoes our situation with HNM. I guess it depends how much comp will need to be paid, and if City think that investment in his potential is worth it.
