I'm given to believe that if you put your head through the porthole and look down you'll see the golden rivet.

Will cost a fair amount and we probably don't know yet what will happen with Mara, Adams, Tella, and Adarma. CM is the one position we will definitely need to buy for. Maybe two or three.
He's a good age and the key is his partnership with Grimes with the two of them together being greater than the sum of their parts. RM will need some lieutenants to implement his style initially and we'll just have to trust him I guess.
Yeah fair enough, but given the choice of two Swansea players, it would be Grimes and Manning for me.
Also, it seems Swansea's good end of season form came at the same time that he was dropped. He only started one of their last ten or so games.
Signing back-up options is one of the things I want us avoiding at all costs (hence why I was open to keeping Theo for an extra year, to avoid needing to sign such players). Doing that is what turns a side into a yo-yo team. Going up into the PL with players who were recruited for the Championship, but are nowhere near good enough for the PL. You struggle to offload them after you go back up because they've been given a wage rise, a three/four year contract, and are quite comfortable spending the next 12 months as a "PL player". By all means bring in loan signings, or promote from the youth team. But any permanent signings should be with the aim of being regular starters for us next season.
