I'm sure Jordan Henderson is ****ting himself right now thinking someone slightly younger can come in and pass backwards and sideways just as good
JWP basically combines all of the strengths and drawbacks of mid/late career Henderson and Milner. He's a perfect fit for the guy that plays in every big game for them, while causing their fans to bemoan the fact that he plays every big game for them.
If Saints have set JWPs price at £50M, then to me it looks like they have no interest in selling our captain. The vultures can pay up, or shut up! Hopefully Saints don't cave in.
From Grimes’ Wikipedia: Ultimate Frisbee: truly the best base for a future as a professional football player.
Think they've just said this so that other clubs don't waste our time with sub-35m offers. I'd imagine we'd take something around 38-40m though. I guess it depends on James. The club have obviously promised him they won't stand in his way, but at the same time, he has to respect that it's all business, and he is an asset that we need to make significant money on.
Some reports are saying that Liverpool are only willing to pay £25 million for JWP. Not sure I believe it.
If the rumours are true it won't be for £25 million. The reports state that they are willing to wait it out for JWP so if that is the case they can't be that keen to sign him.
To be fair to him, if those around didn't seem to know how to play together, what chance did he have? You may be right but the new manager will have to work it all out, we hope. (A Saints essential virtue)
