Enjoyed that. Great end to a season to remember. Tactics were immense, 1 on 1, players being brave. Delighted for Man City. I was one of the 15000 at their place and have always liked them since then. They are genuine fans, 100%. Pep, the greatest. I take my hat off to you.
I don't get Phil Foden. Clearly a talented lad but never seems to do anything. At the minute he's like the slightly below average girl who knocks about with absolute stunners, hoping to pick off a straggler.
Doesn’t get enough game time. He could go someone like Liverpool and he’d be their best player by a mile. That’s the thing about City’s squad they have so many quality players that can’t make the impact they should because they have so many others in the Xl.
8 teams in the history of football have won a treble. Pep is the first ever manager to do it twice. 3 Champions League wins, 2 Club World Cups, 12 League titles, 10 domestic cups, 2 European Super cups and 5 Charity shields/super cups. The trophies aren't even his main contribution to the game though. Football is played differently today because of him. His legacy will be greater than any other manager before him in my opinion.
Find it bizarre that people slate him to be honest. The bloke is a genius and it’s not even debatable that he’s been the best manager in the world for the last decade.
Dont watch a lot of City but did watch last night and the FA Cup final and couldn't believe how poor Haalands touch is outside the box. His hold up play in both games was shocking, mind he's not bad inside the box is he.
Don’t disagree with you. Ironically that’s what in part makes him perfect for city. They have the players for the build up play without him, they just need someone to stick it in the back of the net. He’s a proper goal poacher
He also occupies the defence with his strength and pace freeing up the other attacking players, plus he will improve further. He’s already the most complete striker in the world imo, scary what he could be like in a season or two.
Amazing what you can buy with a hundred million quid mind, sorry to be so tetchy but I wanted Inter to win, its the first time I have watched City this season and pleased that its the last, and for all he tin pots he has "won" hes still a tit, thats just my opinion.
Just like all the chosen few at the top of the premiership, its how it works, and thats what is slowly killing the game , in my opinion anyway.
He's had massive help that others couldn't dream of, so he hasn't done it himself. He's obviously good, but he's not the same high managerial standard that Cloughie was
I get your point and it’s shared by a lot of people to be fair - but their net spend over the last 5 years is around the middle of the pack within the 20 premier league teams iirc with the likes of Villa, Wolves and West Ham spending more on transfer fees. I just think that’s the game now it’s ****e. Look at United and Chelsea, they’ve spent fortunes and they’re nowhere near City.
It would be foolish to opine that Guardiola is not a good manager. Whilst he has generally managed big clubs with big budgets, he therefore has a head start in winning trophies. However lots of managers fail at big clubs with big budgets...he hasn't.
