Just a follow up to the "Ulterior Motive" thread a lot of the posters on another message board reminds me of the classic line in the Python classic The Life of Brian: Delete Romans and insert Malaysians, Just chatting with my brother, and as you are aware his mate is in the know. DT and VT have put £7 million of their own cash into the club, clearing debts and subsidising the running of the club......add this to the fact that they have acted as guarantors for the clubs debts, running at between £12 and £28 million depending on whose version of the Langstone "debt" you chose to believe...........what have the Malaysians ever done for us Loads
fair enough proph, we could have struck lucky with these guys, still would prefer a fan in control of the club but the amount of money you need nowadays that will probably never happen
We did strike lucky with these guys. Looks like they are trying to run the club properly. If that means not throwing money around on a play off gamble then so be it. In the summer Malky will be able to get a few more players off the wage bill. Also I believe we are still paying Dave Jones. I predict Malky will get some backing and more in the summer. Next season I reckon we could have a really good squad that could be the one to get us into the PL. Be nice if we could do it this year though. Looks like these guys have sorted all immediate debts that were a threat to the club. Langston and their unsecured loan I dont see as a problem.
Swamp, instead of trying to find a fan with money, lets turn the men with money into fans. From what I hear, they are well on the way.
Wheres the monnneeeyyyyyyy. Just kidding i think the Malaysians are a revelation and i can only see us progressing further with their nous for business and their ever increasing passion for thr club.
If Mike Ashley is an example of a fan owning a club (although I think he's a Spurs fan who 'admires' NUFC) then I'll stick with the Malaysians ta!
i was thinking more dave whelan with wigan, ashley isnt a fan of NUFC at all, he's in it for the money like any american owner in the BPL, he just happens to be english
