Is it being repeated or something. It was 5 years ago wasn't it? It was great from memory. I never understood why there wasn't a second series, but I'm sure I read they are making one soonish. Never mind: missed the later posts
Odd isn't it, I just found it strange, particularly having the daughter's problems involved. Anyhow pleased you enjoyed it. I just watched Steel City Murders which was very good, based on a true story.
Me and mrs Red have been literally waiting the full 5 years for them to make a second series, it finished perfectly for another and another but as yet no sign. We absolutely loved it, totally jealous of anyone who’s watching it for the first time. Hardy is absolutely superb in this, in my top 3 things I’ve ever watched.
Next on my list to watch, I think the daughter thing made it more relevant and separated it from dramas of this elk. Just started “ murder in Provence “ I wouldn’t say it was brilliant but definitely watchable. Only 1 episode in and there’s just 3 so not expecting too much but it is a beautiful area of the world and the scenery is amazing.
It seems that Covid got in the way of Taboo season 2, but it has now been written and shooting is due to start at the end of this year. The writer also has a plot for a potential Taboo season 3.
Could be an interesting watch Law of Tehran A drama in which a tough cop hunts a crime kingpin is the stuff of classic movies and TV shows, from Heat to The Wire. What’s fascinating here is the location: Iran. Writer-director Saeed Roustayi crafts a gripping police procedural about a little seen aspect of life there, with a surprisingly candid focus on the widespread problems of drug use and poverty. Payman Maadi channels the gruff anger of Al Pacino as detective Samad, who works his way doggedly from pavement to penthouse in pursuit of a drug lord. En route, there are affecting scenes of the devastation caused by addiction, and the Canute-like attempts of cops and judges to tackle it. Saturday 10 June, 9pm, BBC Four
I thought this sounded interesting, so watched it. At least I watched an hour of it before giving up, it was terrible.
I've seen that it's been mentioned before but a Dutch/Belgian Police Drama called 'Undercover' is now up to the third series. It's really well made with some clever character integration/development. Highly recommend!
From has just aired the final episode of Season 2 so going to watch it shortly. Held off as I'd rather watch them together than waiting a week for each episode. Season 1 was very good. Bit of a cross between Lost and some horror type stuff, but really well done. Hopefully it doesn't carcrash like Lost.
Started a series last night called “ River “ these two cracking actors are in it. Only 6 parts of about an hour each, bit early as I’ve only seen 1 episode but I thought it was really quite good. 2 more episodes tonight..
Absolutely loving “ River “ cracking series, 3 episodes in and 3 to go, highly recommended if you like this sort of crime drama but it does have a twist that separates the wheat from the chaff….
It was originally on the bbc, tried to see if it was on I player but wasn’t, it’s on my cough cough firestick lol
