"Meanwhile, Clubs will no longer be permitted to use towels or other articles, including items obtained from spectators to dry footballs during matches." hurrah
this could be crippling for Wigan. How does this work? You lose all your players but can't replace them! 30-DAY RULE The non-payment of HMRC debt has been added as a trigger of Regulation 52.6, so Clubs who accumulate 30 days of late payments in a 12-month period will be unable to sign a player for a fee or any consideration for three full transfer windows. The amendment to the 30-Day Rule also provides for Clubs to self-report late payment of any debt covered by Regulation 52.6, plus a right of appeal for Clubs triggering the 30-Day Rule.
Regarding the directors and owners, this should have just been… Prohibiting ownership by state entities; Rather than… Prohibiting ownership by state entities from countries which are sanctioned;
Fingers need to be pointed at the EFL for allowing the owner to take charge of the club also...but they'll not shoulder any of the blame.
You're obviously right but sadly it's not that easy. Corrupt men, especially the wealthy, make the discovery of their deception particularly difficult with endless bluster, diversions and smokescreens ... ... read a quick summary of Robert Maxwell as a masterclass in appearing to be a billionaire whilst owing a billion. When he was finally found out his equally corrupt sons carried on as if they were oblivious to his crimes. Boris Johnson is another example of how it's possible to continually walk away from each new scandal until, one day, the whole shaky house of cards comes tumbling down.
Fingers crossed. I’d like to see GKs booked after their first attempt at time wasting. It’ll soon stop.
It might help a bit to say the kick must be taken from the side the ball went out, instead of that slow walk behind the goal from one side to other
So many annoying issues can be fixed if the officials and the authorities had some balls. Time wasting should result in a warning for the player initially. If anyone else does it after that then it’s a yellow card straight away, doesn’t matter if they have already been booked. Plus all time gets added at the end. It’s a form of cheating and that would stamp it out pretty quickly. Too often we see the keeper being warned about 5 times before a card…and then it just leads to other players taking over and time wasting. Diving and feigning injury should be retrospectively punished or called out by VAR as it’s bloody obvious.
They had multi ball at Newcastle for games this season. Until they were winning. Yet nothing was said about it by the press or authorities.
