Great.... Liverpool have LeBron James backing them and we get a member of the Pelicans. Seriously can we not get Derrick Rose or Carmelo Anthony back the club.

My worry about Gerrard is that we'd be facing another Wise situation. Wise, we all know now, was ****e, & it was Poyet, his #2 that knew his stuff. This became horribly real to us when Poyet left, leaving the poison dwarf wondering what the hell to do.

Sadly for Gerrard, his #2 left Villa for Rangers, and it showed! Gerrard didn't last much longer without him.

So why are we going to appoint Gerrard with this knowledge? Because we're Leeds, that's why! We're noted for signing ****e managers & injury-prone footballers. We used to be noted for winning things. Not going to happen with Gerrard.

Because we’ll be American owned. And if Americans are stupid enough to put the inept Biden in the White House they’re stupid enough to appoint the inept Gerrard as manager of Leeds.

Rose does play Guard equivalent to defence.

Just read a pile of poo from the YEP’s Graham Smyth. Titled Leeds defence taking shape. What a load of bollox that he thinks that keeping Dallas, Ayling, Cooper and Struijk is great. How the hell is that great when the 3 old boys struggle to stay fit and the young one has lost his bottle. I agree that we will be losing Koch, Firpo and Llorente, but surely that should mean we replace or at least bring in better than Cooper, Struijk Dallas and Ayling leaving these on the bench. Cresswell, Hjelde and Monteiro should be part of it but we do need a sold defence and a new LB. We dont know about Drameh yet but if he goes we need a good RB too. Wober and Kristensen if staying can fit the bill too. But please YEP stop saying the old boys are the biz, they ain’t and part of our problem is we didn’t replace them or upgrade earlier

Agree doc. This loyalty to the promotion winning side is getting tedious. Maybe we should bring a few back from wilkos title winning side too

Agree the 3 old boys would be good squad additions but I don’t want them to be starters unless we have injuries or we’re playing in the cup. They’ve got the passion and can teach the new lads about the club but we need better on the pitch. Agree with your leavers, I also want rid of Struijk. If we keep Wober I think him and Cresswell as starting CBs would be a good choice. Drameh if he stays or a new RB needed and new LB needed (not sure how Hjlede got on loan as believe he played LB so possibly a goer but would prefer Cresswell from West Ham on a free as 3 out of 4 youngsters at the back starting might be a bit much).

Disagree, he’s probably our 2nd best CB at the club. Club captain and supports Leeds. Will be a good experience member of the championship squad with Cresswell and Wober starting.
