Where is all this "4 months left on his contract" talk coming from? I'm pretty sure he signed a 3 year contract on the 9th August 2010. That means that his contract doesn't run out until the 9th August 2013 which is ages away! His contract will probably get sorted in the summer following this season depending on what happens to Swansea City this season. I don't see anyone going in January anyway... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/swansea_city/8890000.stm - Link to Sinclair signing for the Swans
Someone said his contract was up at the end of the season, which is why i asked how much he would be worth if that is the case
Why would they want to go? Surely our club is unique in the fact that we play great attacking football, are a team on the up and have manager that can develope young players? As said a million times fron us Swansea fans, how many players leave Swansea and do well? Thats because the way Swansea play and conduct themselves bring players up a level.
I was under the impression that Sinclair is happy here. So much so his missus is leaving Corrie and moving to Swansea.
I know that the club isn't looking to sell any of our key players at this point. They've been expecting this sort of thing and are prepared for it.
This all reminds me of the 'Bodde Snatchers' when we arrived in the Championship, and Huw Jenkins showed them a clean pair of heels, so no worries from me, but there will be more of this, I'm sure!..................... please log in to view this image
if andy carroll is worth £35 mil well i would be looking at around £40 mil. every player has thier price because carroll is rubbish. sinclair and dyer that is so hope you have big pockets with plenty of money
Anyone remember that transfer deadline day when Huw went out and turned off his phone? I love Huw Jenkins...
think most people would agree with that. Graham at £3.5m looks more accomplished to be honest, where on earth they got to that figure for Carroll god only knows!
I think it was just a complete panic buy, and the figure was so high because they received such a ridiculous amount for Torres (that's gone well too, hasn't it!). They got 50, so even though they spent 35 they can say "Hey, look! We made 15mil profit!"
The ONLY way to bring some sanity back,is,unfortunately, for one of the so called "big Clubs" to go to the wall. Then, and only then, will people sit up and say, "enough is enough".
Agreed there, I think the problem is though the clubs are verging on being more powerful than the governing bodies. The clubs probably create bigger revenue streams...
