Yeah me too mate. Love big cats. My favourite film is the Lion King and I've decided that's my next tattoo. Not sure if I'm going to get it on my leg or arm, though.
No wonder you love Sunderlands black cats then, where did that even come from? Historically speaking? They just thought it was cool?
Not sure mate theres a couple of theories. One is about a Sunderland fan who smuggled a black cat in his jacket for the 1937 fa cup final which was the first time we won it. Another is about a black cat which made Roker Park its home in the 60's and loads of supporters took it to their hearts and would always give it food and water.
Indeed, why engage in nationalism when you can engage in good old fashioned neanderthalistic tribalism instead! I get both points. I dont really WANT West Ham or City to win, I couldn't care less, but I dont particularly root against them either I guess. The only team I actively dont support in Europe is, and always will be, Liverpool, or any team that Chelsea are playing against, obviously.
So we agree then…just because you only apply that thinking to one club, unlike myself who applies it to all clubs…doesn’t mean you and me are any different really.
But also I am not online moaning about it and belittling other people for doing it....which makes you seem bitter, not that you care, because you are Spurly and you are cool. But it does make people seem bitter....labelling people as simps and ****.
bitter, jealous these are just buzzwords…the only ones people seem to be able to use when trying to make me understand why week in week out you are rivals but because it’s against foreigners, everything changes. Big Ern was on the Spurs board a day or two back expressing his wish, which is to see our new manager fail…I get that…I expect nothing else. but tonight I should cheer them on? because they are playing a ‘foreign’ team? It would be false considering week in week out we can’t stand each other I don’t really watch football to cheer on English teams…it’s only about my club for me and I laugh at the demise of every other club like majority fans laugh at the demise of my team. bitter, jealous blah blah them words couldn’t be further from my motivations
Its not about that, its about, why the **** do you care either way? I dont begrudge a team any trophy unless its at my teams expense, of course.
For me it goes back to the days when British sides were predominantly made up of British players ... Celtic in '67, United in '68 and to Forest, Liverpool and Villa in European Cup finals ... so I'll be rooting for the Hammers tonight and Citeh at the weekend ...
care? I’m having a conversation because we are discussing the cup final and I’m up for a discussion on this chat forum as my 70,000 posts might suggest If ‘I cared’ in the manner that you are trying to imply… I think I would have probably been up last night thinking about this…maybe I would have had a discussion with my loved ones because ‘I care’ therefore I am concerned about the outcome and how it may affect my life going forward. 3.10pm my young un finishes school…I’ve set my alarm for 3pm…incase I forget…that’s because I ‘care’ I got the feeling you don’t really know what ‘care’ means
They are cheering the hammers on like they cheered you boys on in your title winning season…the same bunch were laughing at you last week after game week 38 if Ern had any sense he’d tell em all to shove their support up their arse’s
Generally if I dont care about something I dont give it a second thought, I mean the only reason we are discussing this with you, is because we care about you spurly....you are our boy! And we care about your mental wellbeing
... but the first bit is something of an irrelevance, dear boy ... we succeed or disappoint on the back of our own efforts (or ineptitude) ...
I always find it a bit weird these demands and expectancies ultimately, they just greedy bastards init He never plays probably should be offered about £40k a week tops
