if its a real release then they cannot. it's.more likely the agent/parent attempting gto get double the wages somewhere. we are a long way from signing this guy potentially.
I totally agree - and being honest it’s a bit like the Rabiot one for me There have been loads - when the transfer takes this long I always feel it’s not going to happen as it’s generally not how we work atm. think there may have been a couple that took ages but they are defo not the norm with us.
The only time frame we have is what "people" want us to have. We do not know the clubs real intent and will only know when theres word of an agreement (real agreement) between the clubs or a medical. Or we hear someone else has made this agreement or having this medical and we hear stoney faced silence form the club. I take the silence from LFC as indication that are actually interested in the player. We have let it slip many times to friendly journos if a story is waffle. The problem i have is 90% on here hate to hear the truth that we are not in for a player and actively try to ignore the club signals instead of moving on. This leads to months of pointless rumour stories
Liverpool don't talk much about their intentions, you find out when it done. But, sometimes we are too slow in getting things done.
Lots of reports it’s not a straightforward release. Some rumours that it’s specific to liverpool hence there aren’t anyone else going in for him
Just waiting on the medical it seems? We’ve not denied it, Brighton haven’t come out to say anything against it either - De Zerbi has been saying for weeks that he won’t be playing for Brighton next season so I imagine we’ve been discussing and sorting it for a while. Not done until he leans obviously - but think there is a little paranoia going on here
Romano saying medical booked in for today, contract to be signed on Wednesday. Transfer window opens June 14th
we will see. the transfer window is largely irrelevant when there are no games, its just about registration to play.
Tbf the transfer window hasn't even opened yet. We may think it seems to be taking ages but that's because we've read into him coming here well before it was possible to even do the negotiations. Imagine if we were (still) in for Bellingham how long we would be saying that transfer was taking.
it doesn't work that way necessarily. Contracts can be signed, medicals can be done. The windows is about registrations to play and is largely irrelvant when there is no game will mid august. The key date is not june 14. its july 1st in many cases. YOu might have an issue with intercountry transfers but macallister is not one. Most transfers are "officially" done post July 1st anyway to get into the next financial year and contracts are done as precontract agreements that are binding in advance for example last season we announced a deal for carvalho in may, nunez on 14th june and salah's new contract on the 1st july. most season's come july 1st you see the parade of new players and official signing photos etc. Its all for book balancing.
