Lots of talk that it’s all done and just waiting to be announced. Apparently it’s less than the 60m rumoured. Not sure who to believe on that. Can’t see him being cheap, Brighton drive a hard bargain.
I think the tweet I saw (Fabrizio) said 'way less than reported £60m fee, medical tests in 24/48h. Done.' In other news we're being linked to Gabri Veiga from Celta Vigo, £35m buyout clause.
Was a release clause I think, so Brighton couldn't influence it - apparently that clause was much lower than rumoured. Will see soon I guess but great to wrap one up early, let's keep it up.
Romano is a compelte chancer. he has his buzzy catch phrase "here we go" and he just throws rumours about from any source he can get. it could be a week l, it could be doen, it could be bullshit. he doesn't care.
Guardian says there was a buyout clause. The buyout clause in his contract, signed weeks before he went to the World Cup, is significantly less than the £60m that has been mentioned. That deal has two seasons to run, with an additional one-year option for the club
Alexis Mac Allister is joining Liverpool instead of Man Utd not due to the lure of working with Jurgen Klopp, but because Marcus Rashford wears the No. 10. Dreams can come trueQuite what has changed between May 12, when the Liverpool Echo published a story with this headline…
Lots of conflicting reports. Seems to be that when he signed the new deal a release clause (to some extent) was inserted and 45m seems to be the number banded about. Doesn’t sound like your normal straight forward release though so who knows. Think if it is a straight forward 45m then would be a good price for us.
Pretty sure he was being linked to Newcastle the other day as well so prob just agent trying to get some other clubs involved
I thought that but when you Google his name there are links to us going back several months. You're right though, they all have agents releasing information about links that are unfounded. Ugarte is another example. There are no real links between him and us, a bit like Pepe when he was going to Arsenal, but it will probably be reported that we missed out on him.
I don't know what the problem with Carvalho has been. I've liked him when I've seen him play. Some have said that he doesn't fit into Klopp's system but that doesn't add up. We were crying out for bodies, any bodies last season and still he wasn't given much of a go. He looks like he's really settled in at the club as well.
problem is he plays from the left of a front 3 or as a 10 / secondary striker and it feels like half our squad can play on the left of our front 3 and we don't play with a 10 / secondary striker . Basically the moment Nunez and in particular Gakpo were signed he became surplus to requirements . Personally think he is a talent just not sure we will see it in our shirt .
carvalho was given about 1.5 games at left midfield in a 442 when we were short of options and he hardly got a sniff so I'm pretty sure klopp just put him to the back of the queue
