He had a purple patch including 2 or 3 eye-catching goals which got him a lot of hype early on for us but if someone had offered us half that we’d have been in no position to turn it down. He was also relatively good in lockdown which makes me think he struggles more with an expectant crowd which from my few visits could be an issue.
For the record Dickie left Oxford the year Rob Atkinson came into the first team fully. Atkinson was on loan at another club the last season of Dickie’s Oxford career. So people saying good partnership, they never played alongside each other. Atkinson replaced Dickie.
Fair enough, I didn't know that. I thought I had read that they were paired together, and thought we signed RA the same summer QPR signed Dickie, albeit later in the window...?
