3-3x6+2=
BODMAS; no Brackets, Orders or Divisions so leaves Multiplication first, then the Addition and lastly the Subtraction
3x6 =18
18+2 =20
3-20= -17

and it's geniuses or genii

 

You've incorrectly reversed the terms in the final sum, it should be 3-20

My maths teacher said you should always add brackets around each pair in the operand so...

3-((3x6)+2)= -17

 

Obviously because it's drawn in Liverpool - the cat was stolen!
