Yeah maybe. There’s a fair chance I’m missing something important as I often do but just don’t see how it affects 99% of us. I’m white-ish and male and am yet to feel persecuted for that. Maybe pride month will make me get angry about bunting in Waitrose.
I think some people are thick, or simply choose not to see the potential issues and pitfalls. It's interesting they try to play it down. I wonder if they've ever had the privilege of a conversation with women's rights groups (watch them try to over play that comment ) People should and can be able to be what they please, as long as it is not impacting on others. When they are trying to bastardise the language and science because of their mental frailties, they can simply **** off. One of the regular drinking spots was the main meeting place for LGB and had a lot of cross dressers in there. There was never an issue, and a lot of them were long standing members of that community from other similar clubs in the City. They have no time at all for the current activist crowd, as they see it as counterproductive, and inaccurate on many levels. They see them as ****ers jumping on a bandwagon.
Ignoring yet another piss poor and feeble attempt at diversion from you, in the pub, two groups met on the same day, one were sado-masochists, the others were into bondage, and they really didn't get on. We were trying to work out if the masochists were just trying to get hit.
How do you know all this? Noone in gay bars in Portsmouth, seem bothered by any of it. You just do what you feel.
Funnily enough, I was with a member of the alphabets all day earlier this week, but the conversations were about many things, but not that. They're from down south, but don't see themselves leaving Hull as they find it open minded and tolerant. I've already said it's from talking with the people in question, and knowing them well for many years. They don't like what they describe as 'professional gays' nor do they like the activists for the reasons mentioned. They've spent years enjoying life in their own way, and receiving little if any push back for it, yet more recently, the activists are putting them in a position where they ending having to explain themselves to people trying to get them on protests etc. when they'd much rather enjoy living their life as they have been free to do for years. They don't understand what more the activists would want, and they certainly don't agree with dragging kids in. If the sexual preference was bondage or sado-masochism, .you wouldn't expect to see kids at the event is their view.
All of a sudden there is a **** awful stench on this thread. Lack of hygiene and vegan farts most likely.
