At least with Robinson being put out to pasture we might not et him scoring against us, unfortunately they also have Langmead on their books.
We know that any game is tough in this league - Northampton have some talented players and a manger with a good track record so it is rather mystifying to see them just above the relegation zone. The game there last year was the best I saw all year - we seem to be grinding games out at the moment but I hope to see Ainsworth and Collins to return and I am predicting 2-0 to Town.
In a BBC interview earlier this season Robinson was suggesting that the team was not gelling, yet was full of quality players. Just goes to show how tinkering with a few players can change things.
:Its about time Town started to score some goals so i'm going for a 3 -1 win (Gornell, Wright & Collins) attendance 3,479 including myself.
gary johnson "leaves by mutual consent" ,northampton now managerless, is this good or bad? normally when we play managerless/ bottom of the league/ 10 games without a win teams, we have struggled in the past, but have faired slightly better under GT, no doubt he will have them focused. i rememeber last season we had a hell of a game at there place, that boy jacobs scored a real belter, theyv defo got talent, and are dangerous, but if we can play at our best for NINETY minutes, we could do the job
Must win game for Northampton Northampton 1 (Akinfatman penalty) Shrewsbury 2 (Langmead og, Gornell) Attendance 3666
Oh dear http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/15719111.stm Johnson leaves the management position at Northampton, we're all doomed, DOOOMMMEEDD I tell yeh!!
Interesting that he never managed them against us - in THAT game last season he was appointed manager shortly after, and he resigned just before playing us! He is obviously scared! I think we will win 3-1, Robinson breaking his duck but Gornell, Collins and Richards all scoring.
4-5-1 again please. We won't be playing a demoralised team and may get a backlash. Need to be tight and look to convert a chance or two to win, but a draw would be no disaster.
in view of manager comings and goings er goings i wish to alter my predicted score from 5-1 to 2-1 wright and gornel. att up from 2998 to 3017
