If Potter has any sence he will stay well away from Spurs. The man is an up and coming manager who will do well at clubs where he is backed but does not yet have the name to withstand the Surs affect.
He's going to hide !!! I'm sorry but when he's been on here doing nothing but lick his own arse the past few years it doesn't exactly leave him with much scope for maneuver does it.
I remember he first caught my eye as a talented manager at Watford, we were in the Championship with him at the time and I remember quite a bit of talk was going about the division about how obviously talented he was, he was trained by Jose etc, etc. He jumped about 3 teams that season and ended it at Swansea, where he did a fantastic job at. His issue? He's started to enjoy the smell of his own farts, he's arrogant. He was a fat toad when he was at Watford and he appeared at Liverpool suddenly with brand new teeth, skinny and a brand new bird on his arm. Fosse can tell you all about his disagreements with players and unwillingness to work with them. please log in to view this image
See, I see the opposite with this one. He's just been in a job where he's been burnt really bad having been backed. I think he's a good coach that can develop what he has, and with a bit of luck, help players re-find lost form.
Yup I agree with you mate, he's a fooking dinosaur, you could see he had lost the team, yet was still playing the big I am. Leicester probably deserved to stay up for just getting rid of him, although it was all a little too late and out of Everton and Leicester, I'm not sure if the former would have survived if they crashed out the Prem, where the latter appears to have good financial backers, well going by what Fosse tells us.
I think all Everton have done is delayed things. Honestly don't see how the hell they can improve that squad. As I said before their FFP is now worse than it was a year ago and this year they have no Richarlison to go for big money. None of their players have increased in value. Best they can hope for is Forrest go crazy again and chuck a big money offer in for Dominica Calvert Lewin or something, but it would take a hell of a lot more than that.
I think there is a difference between being backed and having players thrust on you. The latter happened at our place for years with Woodward buying vanity players and giving them to managers expecting them to use them. Real backing is giving a manager the players he wants (obviously within budget or achievable ). That way he sinks or swims on his own initiative/ability.
Serious question for @FosseFilberto, do you think the ground expansion will be put on hold until such times as you get PL football again. As a championship club, will you need the extra seats?
Aye yeh they defo need to fck off. Bruce is finished though surely. Sam is protected and hyped by the media for doing fck all so he'll turn up again. Rafa is Championship level at best but hopefully finished in England. Rodgers as has been mentioned, another one who needs to be gone.
Even Levy isn't stupid enough to take Bruce on for that job (cost dependant though), but Rafa would be fun.
Diego has nailed it. He wasnt backed at all. Players were forced on him and he was handed a ridiculously large squad that a lot weren't suited to his style and told to make it work.
Rafa could do something there mate, in fact, with the way their transfers have been bought over recent seasons between Conte and Jose, that gig is ideally suited for Rafa ball. Personally thought the one that would make the most sense if they could have had a pick would have been Simeone. If they go for a more attacking manager that's going to require a transfer budget.
I assume Dyche is there to stay, I don't know what contract he had, will be interesting to see if his financial head is as good as his football one and if he can point them on the right road, I think from figures that were being put out recently by the media, he can.
