OK but lets take the past thirteen years, do you think the government have made things better or worse ...

    ... all things considered.

And were things better or worse under Labour in your opinion.

Never mind about pointless pontification about something that will never happen.

It isnt about the political parties in the UK doing damage post Brexit. It is Brexit, and all the attitudes towards us doing the damage. Will continue for years in my opinion. Tory, Labour, doesnt matter. We are still the country that said we are better off without you, and it is in the interest of the EU to prove we arent. Even the US, Blairs special friend, have no motivation to help us.

Nail on the head mate, of course they'll do everything to f**k us up and how can we blame them.

We've decided their countries aren't worth being associated with and that the EU isn't fit for purpose.

And anyone who believes Braverman that she's in serious negotiations, to cooporate with the French, over the boat people <doh>

They must be laughing out of their arses.

You want every issue compartmentalized, where no one thing has any affect on any other thing, and binary answers.

Worse. But that answer is completely meaningless without an understanding of why it's worse. I remember Gordon Brown being grilled by a member of the public on a hospital visit. It was on the slide even then. But it can't have been, because Labour good Tories bad.

Politics is wasted on people who just want to score points for their team.

Don't be daft, you trot out the same drivel every time you can't, or don't want to, answer a question.

It's simply asking an opinion on a certain subject that you commented on.

You either don't want to answer or don't know ....

... don't always use buzz phrases like 'binary answers' and 'compartmentalized' to cover your arse.

It's a forum for opinions but you only ever give one when it suits your agenda.

BTW, the answers are that the NHS was better under Labour and the Conservatives have made it worse.

I note David Milliband today says his biggest regret is supporting the war. I would argue the state of the world, and certainly this country was made much worse by Blair and his labour govt. Brown had the misfortune of being in post for the banking crisis. They hammered PFI contracts in the NHS which is still a dead weight. The state of the country when they left was poor. I would say we are worse off, but not by as much as some would have us believe. Whether Labour remained in power is a question, I would say we would be close to where we are now. As always an opinion, and tonight fuelled by chablis and now macallan

I'm really just talking about the NHS tbh mate, the strikes and waiting lists are shameful especially when if affects so many vulnerable people.

Only talking about the last thirteen years I really can't say I've seem much progress.

You wanted a yes or no answer. Limited thinking.

    Observe.

Sunderland had a crap season this year - yes or no?

You're ridiculous, another buzz phrase to avoid giving an opinion.

What a twisted mind you have.

It's a phenomenon you suffer from when talking about politics that I'm trying to demonstrate to you.

Sunderland had a crap season this season - yes or no? Come on Mister Tickets, you're the expert here.

If anyone else wants to take it on, please do so. It's a demonstration of how you break a large issue down so small you can get the answer you want, even if it's wrong.

You've called me every name under the sun in every post the last two weeks and you can't take that?

Running away because you can't face what you are, and never wanted to engage in good faith in the first place.

I hate to admit this but I think Johnson could've been the right man if things were going well and people could forgive his stupidity and arrogance.

But he was the wrong PM for the bad times when his silly jokes and irreverent manner just seemed to rub people's noses in the mess we're in.

He really did create a 'one rule for the plebs' atmosphere that sickened a lot of people.

I'm not saying people actually said that, just saying how I believe it looks from their point of view.

However you look at it, we've decided we don't want to be part of them. It's like the big football clubs leaving the PL ...

... we'd all think f**k them and hope they failed.

    That's what I believe.

You're correct. Only the nutters were advocating pulling up the drawbridge.

There was a far better deal there to do in 2017 if parliament had decided to work constructively. They decided they knew better, chose to obstruct and look where it got us.

Speaking personally I didn’t want to be governed by them but definitely still wanted some good relationship and respectful trading without the iron fist rule, and don’t think that is such a extreme and confrontational view

    That's fair enough mate.

I just think we'd be better off fighting our corner from the inside.

Perhaps there'll be benefits from leaving, I'm just not seeing much and I really want to.

Switzerland and Norway seem to be doing more than okay without being fully politicised with the European Union. They still have agreements on governance and justice, trade and free movement arrangements. I dont see any reason why, in time, we can't have that same sort of friendly relations. Although, I do have strong reservations about the free movement of people.
