    It's quite funny, I was saying to a couple of friends the other day about when we went top. They were enjoying football at the time and it was almost as if Ralph told them that at the time. I tend to find football to autonomous at times rather than letting footballers go out and do what they enjoy doing

    On the flip side, I remember someone saying (can't remember who) that with footballers, all you really need to do is tell them what you want them to do and where, and they'll go and do it.

    There's a happy medium somewhere, but I do feel we've gone from overloading them with "automisms" to basically disorganised chaos, then back to way too many instructions again.

    I used to play high standard, as I believe you did too? Half of the time i was given the odd instructions here and there but the core was go out and play football when you have the ball. Never be scared.
