Promised being the operative word. We can't get enough people to work in the hospitals we have. Where would they get the extra doctors and nurses to work in these mythical 40 hospitals?
I dont know why I reply to you, as you have me on ignore. Maybe some kind soul will reply to me see you can see it. Immigration is a positive thing. It is how we can help staff NHS, and other critical service areas. Now it transpires Labour want to be seen as the party that is strongest on immigration. They are committed to scrapping the 20% salary reduction that encourages companies to recruit to key services. Apparently they will train UK people to do those jobs instead, easy as that apparently. Now none of this is said to make the tories look better. It does show the inter related nature of all of these things and no party seems able to grasp the nettle. Bottom line, in my opinion, is we want to throttle legal immiagration and all parties trying to win votes on that, Brexit was a key immigration battleground, and yet we all want more qualified people in our workforce. Mind boggles we dont see the comnections really. Disclaimer, I have been on the Chablis in the sun for a couple of hours
Don't think so mate, I could put up dozens of similar stats ... ... I just don't think people really believe Brexit has been what they were hoping for. The boats haven't stopped and prices are rocketing up. Never mind, Everton are cureently being relegated so i'm popping another Moretti
I’ve just popped another Estrella My two best mates are Everton and Leicester fans both season ticket holders but Leicester is the team for me
Forty new hospitals wasn't just a promise that failed because of unknown factors ... ... it was a lie at the moment Boris first said it and every time he repeated it. I can't imagine anyone actually believed it.
I don’t believe any of it mate, and will be gob smacked if you believe any of the s hite Labour spout if they get in.
Some things, from both parties, are believable ... ... promising forty new hospitals was simply conning the public. Shameful tbh. After thirteen years things just keep getting worse.
I think it’s how they say it that matters, did they put a time scale on it? Surely even they aren’t stupid enough to do that
It was Boris Johnson, of course he put a time limit on it, 2030, and mocked anyone who questioned him.
This lot have done a lot of damage, in the two years since we left Europe tbh ... ... another five years doesn't bear thinking about.
I don't respect their religion or belief, no. But that's because I've seen how they treat women in their society based on that religion and belief. Have you got a reason for hating women so much you're happy for them to be treated like that?
Exactly marra they have been shocking and will pay the price shortly due to our DEMOCRATIC system, something the EU won’t let you decide
Youi're right mate. I just don't think our democracy was seriously affected by our inclusion in Europe. For me it's not the individual laws on the shape of bananas, etc, just the feeling of a retreat back to an island mentality. I think we'll come to regret the decision although, in all honesty, it no longer affects me too much.
I believe the situation requires an honest appraisal that neither major party is willing to have. When Labour get in the roles will simply reverse. It's too valuable a political football for anyone to fix.
