League Two play-off final on now. Carlisle v Stockport. Expect most of my lot travelling fans would be happy to lose Carlisle from the league next season, due to the distance. I was quite impressed with Stockport when they came to us, so not going to be a lot in it.
Some interesting prices today as always for the last day… Chelsea at well over 2/1 at home to a Newcastle team probably on the piss all week. Leeds 13/8 with Spurs more interested in ducking out of the Conference thingy. Lesta at over evens with West ‘am focussed on Europe. Palace 4/7 with Forest probably out on the piss all week. One of those will inevitably let me down but thought they were value.
Do they really need Wembley for a L2 play-off final, surely a Prem ground somewhere between the two clubs would have been better to house enough for everyone to have a ticket that wants a ticket.
Stockport’s assistant manager used to play for us and I really fancied a girl from Stockport at uni but she didn’t like me so I’m torn on this. Carlisle sounds like a bit of a dump while Stockport is quite wealthy so maybe Carlisle as a town need it more.
You’d think so, especially at the prices with no trains from Carlisle. Maybe it’s too short notice but the FL brain boxes could have probably arranged this for Old Trafford or City or Newcastle or something. Given there’s only four possible finals you could easily lay out where the final will be in advance based on who gets there. Same for European finals.
Yeah I was thinking somewhere like Old Trafford, although City and Newcastle are both playing away from home today, so yeah plenty of better options than Wembley.
Chance for Wembley to make money in the corporate gig and nothing more . Playoffs all included in box price
It's all bolloxs to me though mate, I really don't see the attraction in Wembley, unless you are actually going to fill it, which might happen in a L1 play-off, can't see it in a L2 though.
Completely get it, I suppose it gives the teams supporters the big day out at Wembley experience that they wouldn’t normally experience.
I looked into one when the arse twitching over tickets for the league cup final and they used the play offs to try and sell it
Hopefully my lot bypass this shhite next season and go straight for autos. Quite looking forward to seeing the likes of Notts County again, and of course the Wrexham massive. Not much else in that league to look forward to and MKD can fook right off, would have preferred Cambridge. Actually tell a lie, I always welcome the real Wimbledon.
I reckon they’d have rather played it at OT. People from Carlisle are re-mortgaging their houses to get a burger and pint today.
I didn’t think the prices were too bad at Wembley, probably better than what we pay with a much better selection of grub.
Yeah think West Ham had the worst prices I’ve seen. I was in the Newcastle end in fact. Finished 1-1 and Willock scored.
How much for beer? If it's more than £3.50 I don't want to know. Actually the micro pubs have put their prices up now, so most are around the £4+ mark now.
